“A little expensive - otherwise a great hotel!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

We recently stayed in a Shoreline Room that was fabulous! This is the 4th hotel we've been at in the Lake George village and by far the best. Our room had 2 comfortable queen size beds, plenty of pillows, microwave, refrigerator & coffee pot (always a plus), TV, large bathroom with jacuzzi plus all of the other typical room items. We had a good size private patio with a spectacular view of the lake which was only a stone's throw away. The patio was equipped with lounge chairs & foot recliners and a small table.

Pros:
Room was clean and very nice
Housekeeping service was excellent
There was an organized hotel directory in the room which came in very handy
Parking was spacious, even down by the docks
The pool was large
The cabana was nice, the bartender(s) never made you wait
Live music on the cabana patio
Beach front was decent sized
Hotel staff very helpful and pleasant
Giovanni's restaurant was outstanding - ate dinner there twice!

CONS:
WiFi signal was not very strong, was unable to connect to the internet from our hotel room.

We had a fabulous time at the Georgian and look forward to booking our next vacation there! Highly recommend a Shoreline room, keeping in mind that unless you have 4G service, WiFi is weak.

Room Tip: Shoreline rooms are quiet, decent privacy and give you a spectacular view of the Lake!!

Dear Lisa K,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience at our establishment. The room you stayed in was one of our newer renovated shoreline rooms that have a beautiful direct lakeview. I do apologize though, that you were having a problem connecting to our WiFi, and we are working on the problem. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back again in the near future.

Thank You,
Guest Relations

We booked this "resort" at the last minute. It was the only place with available rooms. We got the lake view room for $339 per night thinking that it was a luxury place. Basically room was the same as a motel room. The view though was great. However, we couldnt relax at night at all. The noise and loud music were so disturbing that we had to put our TV on at night. Location was great, close to the village and great restaurants. Pool was clean, but it was very crowded. No service at the pool area. We would not stay at this place for this price. For much less price probably yes.

Overpriced and underwhelming. Some antiquated. Hotel staff un helpful. Stay at the quality or even econo lodge for less money. Our room had a view of a door to the honeymoon suite. At 230 per night it's just down rite robbery!

Room Tip: Stay away from rooms 160-164

Dear Mr. Reinaldo,

I am so sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. The room you were in was one of our courtyard rooms and they do not have a view. We do have other great rooms that do have a wonderful view of the lake and our pool area and our beautiful mountains, but they also go very quickly. We do hope everything else in your room was great and we hope you were able to take advantage of our great Cabanna Bar.

The reservations person on the phone was very welcoming. The water front area and bar at the waterfront was run very well by the the bartender and she was great. the room was ,well,ok.It was clean and spacious enough. The only complaint was rather chintzy pillows that I would have needed 4 to get comfy.I dont think their description of a "luxury" resort is spot on, as we came from a Hampton Inn before this place and the Hampton Inns are very comfy.I think they should just keep it as calling it a lakefront resort. It does very well as that, but I didnt see anything that would rate it as "luxury". The Hampton inn in town was alot more money and didnt have waterfront so I would call this a very fair deal. The people that worked there were outstanding! I would opt for courtyard again as it is way more money to be lakeside or poolside and I dont think that would be worth it.You need to like children as there was alot of them, but we had no ossue with it.In summary, drop the luxury title, but I would go there again

This location appears to be a very fancy motel converted into a resort with elegant accoutrements... Great price for a romantic get-away but overpriced for family... Enjoy as a couple! Pool is ok but the location is in a great place on Lake George!

I made two reservations to attend my neice's wedding; one at the Super 8 down the road and one at the Georgian Lakeside Resort. Even though it was more than double the price of the Super 8 I desided to keep the reservation at the Georgian based on the information they provided in their website. They are not what they claim to be! Buyer beware...Courtside to the Georgian means you are overlooking the parking lot! They claim these rooms have a "view of the mountains" and from my room I only saw cars. Color TV with HBO...yes, if you pay for HBO; the channel was blocked.

As for the food and drinks...moderate. We sat by the pool one afternoon and decided to have drinks and lunch. No service staff came around the pool area to see if anyone wanted anything so we went to sit at the Cabana Bar. The bartender (Marnie) was great, however they were grossly under stafffed. The bartender ran around getting everyone drinks as fast as she could all the while the manager looked like a fish out of water and was just getting her ice. We ordered the Lobster Roll, imagine a cold salad sandwhich taking over an hour to be served. Like I said, grossly under staffed. Even this the manager did not know how to handle as he said he sent a food runner up to check on the status.

My recommendation is to skip this motel, they are not a resort!

Room Tip: Choose a different motel/hotel.

Restaurants for all meals were great. Service and food were great. RooM was clean and comfortable. All staff we dealt with were great. Location was perfect and convenient to the town. View of lake was stunning. Pool was clean. Could use some updating but a pleasant stay all around. Thank you.
