“Our new piece of heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2011

Recently my husband and I have returned to the Lake George Region which we have revisited many times. This time we found the perfect place. quiet, clean and tucked away in a cove on the water was just what we were looking for. Newly aquired by a wonderful couple who were so pleasant and welcoming filled us in on some history of the resort.
Newly updated and clean we were equiped with a full kitchen, grills and a dock on the water which was so beautiful. Having rowboats , canoes and kayaks for use . If your looking for relaxing and quiet this is the ticket.
Close enough to the village with all the activities yet far enough away to enjoy the serenity of the lake.
Just the perfect number of units so there was no overcrowding . Thank you Tea Island for a vacation that topped the list. We will return without a doubt . Our new resort of choice

We stayed for four nights and wish it could have been longer. The rooms were above standard for the Adirondacks- nice fluffy comforters and modern furnishings- more like a new Marriott than typical Lake George.. We had a flatscreen, a/c, large fridge, micro, coffee. The lake is the best, of course and the location couldn't be better. Room was spacious and clean and property well maintained. We loved the view from deck outside our room! Our kids enjoyed badmitton and canoe and peddleboating. This place is a great find! We love Lake George and have stayed at so many Lake George Resorts but this one stands out. We wish new owners the best and hope to be back next year!

We stayed in the cottage #18 for a week in July. The resort itself it was very nice. New picnic tables, comfortable chairs at the small beach, paddle boats, BBQ grills, a great deck to lay out on and have lunch down by the lake open to everyone. The kids played badmiton and basketball with other children they met, which was in the center part of the resort so we could see them from our cottage and I am sure everyone else could too. We could use the pool accross the street or next resort over which the kids did. Bring your own pool towels. The cottage itself was typical Lake George, beds not too comfortable, a little outdated decorating and furniture. The cottage was freshly painted and had a nice deck off the back with a Gas BBQ and table and chairs. It also had a roll up awning which we used when it rained once. The only complaint I had was the floors were filthy in the kitchen and bedrooms. My daughter crawls around and her feet and knees were black. The floors looked clean and we probably would not have known if it wasn't for her. We told management and they had the cleaning lady clean them the next day. They were very accommodating and very friendly. If you are staying in the cottage I suggest you bring everyhting you need to cook with if you are using the kitchen. We ate in every night so I would have brought more stuff from home. It did have Glasses, plates, bowls, forks, spoons, knives, small frying pan and small pots. We used their kitchen spatula for the grill. It did not have any measuring cups or plastic containers. Food shopping is much cheaper in Bolton Landing (Grand union) than at Price choppers in Lake George. These are new owners who seem to really care about the place and their customers. I think the resort will be really nice if they continue to make some small changes.

The place was lovely, clean, and comfortable. Staff was very hospitable and attentive.

Pros: Location is great, its less than a mile away from the village and all the main attractions. We stayed in the house, it was spacious, and had a wonderful view of the lake from the deck. The kitchen was a nice size, and comes equiped with pretty much everything you need if you plan on cooking meals to save money. It has a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, cooking/eating utensils, plates, cups/mugs, bowls, pots and pans, even some grilling untensils. There is a gas grill on the deck. The deck has two tables and chairs, and also an awning making it very comfortable to have meals outside on the deck while looking at the beautiful views. The house has two bathrooms which is good for a big family. There are row boats, kayaks, and canoes free of use, and a private little beach with chairs. The beach is small but nice for the children. And there is also a hot tub. Also there is a playground for the kids and a volleyball net and the staff provides equipment to play.

Cons: There is no pool. The hot water finishes very quickly when taking a shower. The hill to go down to the lake is very steep. Older people, or people with physical difficulties such as arthritis may have trouble going down and coming back up. This was the case of my 75 year old grandmother who has arthritis. However one of the employees was kind enough to drive my grandomother down the hill in a golf cart and bring her back up when we were done. And the only other con I can think of is that the beds were not very comfortable. They were the bouncy springy kind, but thats coming from someone who owns a Tempur-Pedic and finds all other beds other than mine uncomfortable.

We were here for a week (Monday-Friday) and overall our experience here was very pleasent. We got exactly what we were looking for, and for the rates we can't complain. I would definately recommend Tea Island to anyone thinking of visiting the Lake George area.
