My husband and I rarely travel in season because we enjoy the quiet non-crowded times of year. We planned a trip with family and children, so this was the first time experiencing a fully booked campground mid summer. We were very pleasantly surprised! Although the park was fully booked, it was quiet and never seemed crowded! From the free amenities including the trolley, paddle boats and nightly entertainment (cruise ship quality) we were amazed! Adding a tent with 4 people brought the price up to close to $100 per night, but worth every penny. The bike path and grounds were superior to all campgrounds we have visited. We heard this campground is family run and the founder turns 80 this year, but she can still be seen working around the grounds. You can clearly see this family takes pride in their business.
