This was our 2nd stay here, staff very attentive, afternoon tea and evening meal were excellent value for money. The room we stayed in was immaculate and very comfortable. Excellent amenities, we will definitely be going back.

Recently returned from a 3 night break at this lovely hotel. Prior to leaving home I spoke to the golf team who went out of their way to arrange playing partners for me with a similar handicap. This turned out to be typical of the service we were to receive once we arrived. We were fortunate to receive an upgrade to a suite which was a lovely surprise. Needless to say the room was extremely comfortable; we had a gas fire in the lounge, three piece suite, and TV, while our bedroom had the biggest bed we have ever seen. Without exception the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, and the standard of cleanliness in all rooms was outstanding. We could not find fault with anything and are already planning our next visit!

Upon our arrival to celebrate our 49th Anniversary, we were made to feel very special, greeted at Reception by a young lady, superbly efficient, smiling and taking a great pleasure in telling us we'd been upgraded. Great start ! Check in without fuss, and then a very personable young man takes our luggage to the room. Asks if we'd like a tour of the room, then pours us a glass of champagne, compliments of the Hotel, chatty, smiling and obliging. Our initial experience was to continue throughout our all too short stay. Our room in the Follifoot wing was superb, the large bathroom a real bonus.
Dinner was taken in the conservatory, a delightful time was about to ensue. The young Spanish waitress from Madrid, an equally delightful more local young lady, served memorable, beautifully presented food with a brilliant balance of attention, care and, like everyone we saw at Rudding Park, smiles all the way. We retired to enjoy the luxury of our room, totally relaxed, and so pleased that we'd booked this Hotel.
Breakfast, like dinner, was excellent, first class service, with the same quality food. A great start to the day !
Our only 'complaint' is that we had just booked the one night (on a Great Yorkshire break, at a very reasonable price), but we will be back, this is just too good a place to only look back on, it will have to be relived again, and again. Check out was just as efficient as everything else, and of course the smiles.
Congratulations to everyone at Rudding Park for creating, running and sharing a very special experience, and thank you for allowing us to share it for all too short a time.

This is our second visit to rudding park & boy it didn't dissapoint. From the moment we arrived the staff were absoulty wonderful ( they are a credit to rudding park) my birthday is on fri so they upgraded us to a room near the spa it was beautiful with a rolltop bath a huge bed in which you can starfish in , outside was a little patio area ( which will be fantastic in the summer) they also supplied me with a bottle of bubbly which was a lovely suprise. Then we had a meal in the clocktower restaraunt it was amazing , then they brought me a plate with chocolates & happy birthday wtitten on it in chocolate what a lovely touch. I could ramble on & on about this place because they truly treat you like your special & I enjoyed every minute of it & hopefully be returning in the very near future. So once again thank you very much the team at rudding park in making my birthday week a very special time be back very soon.

Room Tip: We was upgraded to room 166 near the spa

Hi Jennifer
Just a quick thank you for the lovely time we both had at Rudding park last week-end, my wife was over the moon and brownie points were given to me in abundance. We could not fault the hospitality and ALL the staff manners were exceptional .

This is a lovely hotel near to delightful Harrogate, well delightful if you are female and like shops anyway! We arrived to a friendly and helpful greeting and were shown to our rooms, ours was a Spa room which was spacious and well furnished. The rooms and indeed hotel are contemporary in style, we had a huge bed and enormous bathroom, both a real treat. The ground floor rooms are best as you have an outdoor seating area. Our friends had the standard room, which was fine, but a little featureless. The bar is not particularly cosy and convivial and expensive. In fact, although this place is lovely, I did feel it was overpriced in general. The restaurant is split into three areas, for the best dining experience ask for a table in the main section, as the conservatory and wood floored section were lacking in atmosphere. Food at dinner was delicious and the waiting staff both friendly and attentive, food at breakfast however was not so good, the supposedly hot food was cold and obviously been left standing in the kitchen. There had been a wedding the night before and the hotel was busy, but still at this standard of hotel it shouldn't happen. The spa was very pleasant and the standard of treatments excellent. One thing to watch out for is the increase by 15% of any fri/sat/sun treatments. Personally I thought this rather cheeky, particularly as the notification was in small print. Overall we had a really nice stay and I liked the hotel, plus the staff were excellent. Perhaps if you can stay during the week, less busy I would guess and certainly better value for money.

Room Tip: Ground floor spa rooms with terrace
