“Pleasant stay and what you'd expect”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2014

A stay at this Holiday Inn about 30 miles from Saratoga Springs is pretty much what you'd expect at this hotel. The room was comfortable, sheets clean, and bathroom is roomy. The gym has only a few pieces of equipment -- a couple of treadmills, an elliptical trainer, and a weight machine - but it does get the job done. The hotel has a pool, although I didn't use it. There is a restaurant and bar in the hotel. We went to have a drink in the bar, took a look at it, but then ended up not going in as the vibe seemed a little uncomfortable -- we couldn't quite put our finger on why. All in all, there's nothing particularly distinctive about the hotel, but it is a clean and comfortable place to stay for a night or two.

Hotel is clean and updated but at close to $150 a night, it simply is too pricey for that area. Stayed here on business and I'm always looking for a good deal, this wasn't one of them. Don't get me wrong, the accommodations are very nice and you should be happy with the hotel but for business and if you are on a budget this may not be the hotel for you. Rooms were clean and comfortable and outlets in the lamps were much appreciated. If you are willing to pay, nice hotel.

This was a one night stay on the way home. The room was small. Even the double beds didn't feel like full size double beds. Hard to move around the room. The restaurant was fine. Meals eaten there were good and the service also was good. I would make another hotel choice if I was in the area again.

We stayed here for one night on our way to the Niagara falls.

The place is clean, and staff were very nice to us. Free parking and breakfast were a big plus.

The only drawback worth mentioning is that the internet did not work. I had a laptop and a mobile.
None of them was able to connect to the wifi in the room. I connected the laptop to the Internet
wire in the room, and it did not work as well.
I ended up going to the business center in the hotel to be able to connect to the Internet. I also
noticed that in the reception area wifi is working properly. So an important tip for you is to
verify wifi or wired connection will work for you in the room if this is something you need.

Otherwise we had a good time there.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the pool, make sure wifi works in the room.

Room was updated, nice size. Very clean. Outdoor pool looked nice but I did not get a chance to use. Has a restaurant on premises, servers were friendly. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Rooms have mini fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. Did not have an in room safe. The air conditioner worked ok, but had a slightly musty odor when first turned on that quickly dissipated. Quality of furniture was typical for this price range hotel- bed was comfortable, desk chair was not. Condition of room was above average.

Room Tip: Rooms are the lower level are pet friendly.

Rooms were small but had been updated. Did lose money in the laundry equipment but found out later that it was due to a tripped GFI plug.

I thought the pricing was somewhat expensive for the property but other hotels in the area were not real values either.

We were stuck in the area waiting for our RV to be repaired. Within a reasonable drive to the Adirondacks and other more interesting locations.

Room Tip: Avoid the ground floor rooms that face behind the property. This is pretty much a traditional Holi...

When we arrived a parking attendant directed us not to drop our bags off at the front desk and to park far away from the hotel although there were open parking spaces by the hotel. It is hard to imagine a more cramped room. So much furniture was stuffed into a tiny space that we had to move chairs around to avoid tripping over them at night. About 6 inches between the bed and the wall on one side. And the mattress was less than firm. Would definitely choose another hotel next time I'm in the area,
