Our recent stay in this hotel was one of the best experiences in recent memory. These folks are terrific! Read on:
We booked a 2 night stay over Christmas at a non-refundable online rate in a pet-friendly room. When I called to confirm that we were bringing 2 dogs, I was advised that we would only be charged one $25 fee for one dog. That's a single, $25 fee for 2 dogs over 2 nights. Fantastic deal--but I honestly didn't expect it to be actually true when we got there. It was!
Having slept in "pet-friendly" hotels before, I was prepared for the room to be shabby and to have a sliding door onto the parking lot; again I was pleasantly surprised to find the room to be SPOTLESSLY CLEAN! No odors either--just the scent of freshly laundered linens! Also, the room was secure. We were at the end of a quiet hall, near a secured door, but thank goodness no slider door (I never sleep well in those circumstances!)
Now here is the even more surprising part: Because of an impending blizzard, we decided to come home early. We packed up the car and I went to the desk to return the key cards. I was stunned when the nice lady immediately refunded us the cost of the 2nd night! Let me repeat: the 2nd night of the NON-REFUNDABLE reservation, was refunded...and I didn't even have to ask! She said it wouldnt be fair.... Wow!
We didn't have the opportunity to check out the free breakfast, or to have a cocktail in the lounge, but you can believe there will be a next time, because this place is awesome! For meals there is a Bob Evans right next door, and seeing that the parking lot had several vehicles ski racks, it must be popular with the ski crowd. (Fairly convenient to both Peek n Peek and Ellicotville.) Very close to Bemus Point and all things Chautauqua as well.
