“Great place to be stranded”

We got stranded at the JFK airport due to airline issues and the airline put us up at the Hilton New York JFK in Jamaica. The airport has a shuttle to/from the airport so that was convenient. There is a lovely lobby and ample seating for meeting and visiting with people. Additionally, there is a bar and restaurant in the lobby. Food at the restaurant was reasonably priced and tasty. Our room was reasonably sized and nicely decorated. The desk was good for working on the computer as the lamps had pass-through outlets. This was a good hotel for business travel. The only drawback I can see is the "pay" parking lot for our friend who came to pick us up. You have to pay in the lobby at a machine in order to get out of the lot. The parking was a bit pricey. Other than that is was a nice place to spend the night after being delayed by the airline.

Standard airport hotel, has had an interior upgrade but still feels a bit old. Decent service but the executive lounge provide very limited and disappointing service. No Diamond status recognition. Limited airport pick up.

The Hilton JFK Team was pleased to have you as our guest, however, I'm sorry to hear that you felt the hotel to be "standard" and "a bit old". It's only been two years since we completed a $20 million dollar renovation and upgraded all the full-service amenities. Having features such as Starbucks, a huge Food / Beverage operation, an Indoor heated (82 degrees)Saltwater Pool and an Executive Club Lounge are all one notch above the 26 neighboring hotels in the JFK market.
Again, "thank you" for your comments and hopefully we'll see you back in the future.

I wanted to comment on the lounge. The staff is wonderful. Dana is the best bartender I have ever had at a hotel bar. Always ready with your next drink. Always a fantastic personality. I get tired watching her hustle. Remembered me and my drink of choice from a year ago. It is a shame she doesn't get half the "Please" as she gives "Thank You". Dana, you are the best and look forward to my next visit.

Very nice and clean facility. Nice lobby and dining room/bar service and staff was excellent. Rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. I will continue to stay at this facility when on business in New York.

Dana who bartends does a fantastic job. She immediately asked me what i needed and the food came out quickly. She was always on top of things and gave me a great experience. I amd staying at the hotel several times next month and am looking forward to it

We stayed here one night to catch a flight early the next day. The rooms on the executive level are very nice. The evening snacks and drinks are a nice touch. The continental breakfast had a very good selection of items. The airconditioning works great and the rooms are very quiet. We ate at the restaurant and the food was very good. I would recommend this hotel for those looking to stay close to the airport.

Room Tip: Select a room on the executive level.

Top rate hotel, Sequon Scott, in the bar is awesome, hadn't been back in more than a month and he knew exactly what I wanted. The front desk was amazing when checking in, I was exhausted and I think they could tell so they got my room ready within 5 min. Dana as always is a pleasure and I just can't tell you how wonderful the staff is! Beds are super comfy and quiet!
