Like most people, I stayed here in between flights at JFK. I found it adequate although it could really benefit from a renovation. My room was clean, quiet (no airplane noise), although somewhat dark. The queen bed was reasonably comfortable. The hotel is one of the closest to JFK and the shuttle was very convenient. This ain't the Ritz but it is fine for one night.

Because of work related business in New York, I had to stay at this hotel for 7 days. This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. The staff was bordering on rude, several of my colleagues had to take cold showers one morning, one actually had to be moved to a different room because of a leaky ceiling -- a problem the staff decided to fix at 1:30 a.m. Then there was the matter of dirty rooms at check-in. My co-worker walked into his "clean" bathroom only to find hair all over, and I found a condom wrapper under my bed. There were only about 8 channels on the television (no ESPN). If you're forced to stay here overnight for any reason, it's tolerable-- any time longer than that I would not recommend. Just to add, this hotel is about an hour away from Manhattan (via shuttle -> airtrain -> subway).

Was bumped off my flight back to London so was put up in this hotel by my airline. I was expecting a basic hotel but this was terrible. Would not stay here again if you paid me, staff extremely unhelpful and generally rude. Finally got a room an hour after arriving - the room smelt, was dark (only had two tiny desk lamps and no other lighting) and was dirty. The net curtains were black and the blackout curtains were covered in mould. The buffet food was awful. Did not risk the breakfast. It appears that the Ramada JFK gets all its business from airlines putting their passengers here, you certainly would not choose to stay here yourself. Avoid at all costs.

I stayed there because my flight was also canceled and our airline did accomodations at ramada..its not a bad hotel at all...very convenient becuz of complimentary shuttle service to the airport..nice dining, pool, ballroom...not too noisy..floors are neat...rooms are fine as well...whatever u need is there...wat more can u ask for..overall i'd reccommend people to stay there whenever they get a chance !!!!
