Bad weather forced me to stay overnight near JFK Airport recently, and I feel I was fortunate to find the Hilton Garden Inn. I simply walked in at around 4 p.m. (after a stressfull day of driving) and within five minutes was in a very nice, spacious room with all the comforts (Internet access, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, excellent bathroom, lots of cable, good beds). After a burger and a beer at the hotel's small bar, I took a quick tour of the hotel and discovered its small pool and work-out room. As with the rest of the hotel, the atmosphere was friendly and laid-back.

The shuttle service to the airport worked as advertised and check-out was a breeze. If you need to book an overnight stay near the airport and don't want to worry about what you will be getting into, you won't go wrong with this place.

After a trip to the west coast, I had an overnight layover in NY. I booked the Hilton Garden Inn. It was a little dark in the area but we found the hotel thanks to our onboard GPS. My check-in was amazing. Not sure if it took an entire 2 minutes or not. I was in my room in a matter of moments. The room was very comfortable. The restaurant stayed open late, and the service and the food were superb. My only complaint was that the bed was a lot softer than what I am use to. The pillows were also a little too soft. I was very close to JFK and never remember hearing any airplanes. The free shuttle to the airport was a great compliment to the hotel.

I stayed for three nights at the Hilton Garden Inn Queens/JFK Airport, which is located only five minutes form the airport and has a 24 free airport shuttle.

I have stayed at a number of airport hotels around JFK and must say that this one of the better properties. It has a restaurant/bar and importanly has free internet access throughout the hotel and free use of the business centre services. The hotel also has a small swimming pool and gym.

Although there is nothing much around the hotel, taxis are readily available and the staff are veyr helpful and professional. This is my third stay at the hotel and I would recommend it highly, especially and obviosuly for early mornings and late nights at the airport.

This property proves that airport hotels can be clean and friendly and leads the way at JFK. Keep up the good work!!

We stayed in this hotel for one day on our way to Egypt (plane leaving from JFK). The rooms were pleasant and clean if small and rather bland, the food was perfectly acceptable if not outstanding, but the hotel is outstanding for its friendly, cooperative, helpful staff. My husband remarked that he couldn't understand how a group of people who consistently dealt with jet-lagged travelers could remain so upbeat and helpful.

Although the hotel is not in a neighborhood where one would usually take a walk (industrial but not dangerous) we walked over to Rockaway to the nearest drugstore (about a 1 1/2 to 2 mile walk). Tahirah at the front desk gave us written directions (twice because I lost the first set). This was after she'd spent some time helping me print an article on Egypt that the computer was refusing to print.

We would certainly use this hotel again if we needed a place to stay before or after a flight to/from JFK. We find it too remote to use for access to NYC. The hotel has a regular shuttle to JFK.
