“Bad service!!”

First about the hotel - its clean and bright. We were two families staying for two nights. Rooms are good with great beds. Breakfast is just OK.

then the location - no restaurants, station or stores nearby. Shuttle service is only provided to the airport. few choices are there for takeaway..but basically you have no option to eat out for dinner..except Hilton next door (expensive)

and sadly the service - for a service industry there are various touch points which enhances or destroys the experience. We have not seen a bigger attitude from the drivers - it looked like we were being picked and dropped as a supreme gesture. our bags were not handled properly and i've to mention that i realized its because who we were (indians)...they acted differently with other guests...most of the reception staff were not warm either and it looked like we were staying there for free!!...i mentioned most 'coz couple of them helped us in finding a refrigerator to store our excess dinner as well as providing directions to get around the city.

bad service is the single reason that we will never stay again in this place!!

Thank you for choosing our hotel and for taking the time to review us here on TripAdvisor. We value your feedback and we are sorry to see that the service you experienced it is not what we strive for at the Hampton Inn JFK. We thank you for taking notice of the cleanliness of the hotel and our complimentary breakfast.
Our proximity to the JFK airport makes us an ideal location when traveling in and out of JFK, as well as if you visiting the big Apple. There are not many restaurants within a walking distance from the local hotels, however there are a few within a short cab ride. Our guests are welcomed to utilize the restaurant adjacent to the Hilton, they serve lunch and dinner daily. And it is fantastic.
I am truthfully very sorry to hear about the experience with our shuttle driver. We are researching this. However, please be mindful that by no means our hotel personnel acts in a different way with different guests based on their cultural background. Please accept my apologies if you felt this way but allow me to confess that we take great pride in serving all guests of all nationalities and all backgrounds. Being at such a key location at JFK International Airport our doors are wide open and welcome many guest from all around the world daily. Many of these guests have expressed by email or even here on TripAdvisor that the service they have received from our hospitality professionals is one of the best they have experienced. That is something that we we are very proud of and again we do apologize that you feel this way.

Everything clean, fresh and comfortable. Worth the money for a one-night stay after picking up daughter from overseas flight at JFK. She was happy to have a good shower, a nice bed and a good night's sleep after being up and in the air for 23 hours. Breakfast next morning was a bonus.

the only thing i liked about this hotel was i could smoke in my room. the hotel was noise. there's nothing around this place. the only good thing was the breakfast. not that i had it but that it was afforded.

Room Tip: Do not get room 102, the view is a brick wall

We drove into New York for a wedding and needed a hotel for 4 nights. Booked this hotel before leaving home and found this hotel was a great choice! The hotel is very nice and business looking. The staff was professional and courteous. We ate the great free breakfast every morning which included alternating items such as eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, waffles, bakery items, cold cereal, yogurt, coffee, tea, juice and more. Our room was spacious, very clean and the beds were super comfortable. We requested a microwave and refrigerator during booking since we planned to be there for 4 nights. These items were in our room upon arrival. Our room also faced the Belt Parkway and JFK airport, but we did not hear any airplanes flying by or hear any traffic traveling on the nearby Belt Parkway. The hallways to the rooms were very quiet. We did not hear any other guests even though there were many others staying at this hotel. We would definitely stay here again. This is a much better choice than the other many small hotels/motels near JFK airport.

Room Tip: Choose a middle to high floor facing JFK airport for a nicer view.

I was here for over a week the staff was great, polite and very outstanding with not only me but others checking in and asking questions how to get around the city. Hotel room was the cleanest I have seen in many cities. Shuttle drivers were polite, and the breakfast staff ...so nice to see a smile early in the morning they are wonderful !! you will love your stay with them ! I will be back.

Hotel located near the airport with a free shuttle bus. The building is not the first youth, you can already see signs of wear but it is still acceptable.
The bathroom ventilation quite noisy to work but did not report the problem because I was so tired that I fell asleep in a quarter :)
Beds comfortable but the mattress is very high and you have to jump on it. Breakfast is moderate, on the plus side I include waffle maker for negative plastic cutlery, trays and cups.
I think I will stay there again because of the affordable price as NY.

I will normally choose a Hampton Inn when I am travelling because of the great customer service and clean properties. I must say I was a little disappointed by this particular hotel. The room while clean and spacious was very noisy at night. We could hear our next door neighbors quite clearly as well as pipe noise when other people on the floor flushed their toilets. The air conditioning was also quite loud when it came on, all these combined made for quite a difficult sleep. The staff was quite pleasant and very helpful, other than a phone call made to the front desk to ask if there was a rollout bed available, they said they would check but we never got a phone call back.
