The Stone Quarry Cottage is an open plan, large, one room cottage built of quarried stone and rich hardwoods. It is tucked into the side of a hill and thus benefits from the natural coolness in the summer and warmth in the cooler months. It pays homage to the land and natural building materials. There is a lot of natural light and if you wish, fresh air provided by the many windows. AC is available if needed.

The Jacuzzi bathtub sits in one corner of the room. The comfy king size bed juts from the opposite wall. A fireplace faces two leather armchairs. The toilet is closeted and relatively private. A coffee maker, small fridge, microwave and TV are all available. There is an Ethernet jack in the room-bring a cord. The grounds are well kept and parking is close.

Maid service and food are not available on the premises. Check out the website - it is very well done with many photos.

If you enjoy being together, this is a great retreat.

The Stone Quarry House was just what we were looking for for our honeymoon. We stayed in the stone cottage. The jacuzzi was wonderful and the whole place was so beautiful. It was simple and elegant and yet very natural. We loved the character of the place. It was great having the privacy of our own place away from home with everything we needed right there. The owners were more than helpful and so welcoming. We were completely at ease. We would definitely reccommend this place to our friends!

My husband and I stayed for 7 nights in the apartment during a return visit to Ithaca to decide if we still want to move there. The Stone Quarry House definitely helped sell us! The pond is so peaceful and at night there are millions of fireflies everywhere. The apartment was spectacular, beatiful layout, construction, hardwood floors, granite. Very tastefully decorated so it was welcoming and comfortable but not over done. The bed was SOOOO comfortable. It's not a tempurpedic like in the stone cottage. It was just so cozy, my husband and I didn't get out of bed til near noon on one of the rainy days. There is also a full kitchen with just about every kitchen tool you could need plus plenty of dishes and a dishwasher.

My favorite aspect of this place is that it's reasonably priced at just over $1000 for the week with tax. We were also looking for a place that was dog-friendly and this place provided that. Nancy was so helpful with extra towels for the dogs and crates for them for when we went out to dinner. The only drawback to this place is there is no daily maid service so be prepared to clean up after yourself a bit if you're going to stay for a whole week. I think this aspect helps keep the price down. I will definitely be recommending this place to family and friends when we are living in Ithaca. Thanks Nancy for everything!

We spent three nights in The Stone Cottage and the accomodation was perfect for us. We loved the atmosphere of the cottage and the tranquillity of the surroundings. It was spotlessly clean and very private. We were in Ithaca to visit Cornell and found it very convenient. Thanks Nancy, we’ll be back!
