“Beautiful campus with striking architecture”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

Walked around this gorgeous campus. Buildings are varied and beautiful. Weekend parking pretty easy but students were just coming back from break. Would have liked to see more of the gorges but it was really windy and cold. The Sage chapel is truly a gem.

“Beautiful Scenery and Campus”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

The Ivy League University sits above Bebe lake and is a picturesque college campus. There is a hotel right on campus, the Statler, for visitors. VIsit in the fall to watch a home football game and admire the foliage or in the winter to see an exciting ice hockey game and explore the Johnson Museum

“Go! Plenty to do, wamer weather is better”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

Cornell Univiversity campus is stately, with beautiful gothic architecture in a natural scenic setting overlooking Cayuga Lake. Campus has things to do: an impressive collection of rare books at Kroch Library, check out their special exhibits, a nice art museum and a fun tour of the bell tower, -if you dont mind climbing stairs and great views-plus if you can catch one of the student run tours for prospective students -it is worthwhile too. In warmer weather, the Cornell Plantations gardens are lovely to stroll through, waterfalls abound to wonder at, and walk to. Sadly the Cornell Dairy isnt yet reopened but when it is, check that out for ice cream. Cornell Orchards in the fall for wonderful crisp apples. My older child is a senior there, so I've spent some years savoring the highlights. Nearby are the Cayuga Lake wine trail and Ithaca Farmers Market operating in warmer months. Restaurants abound in town- Moosewood is a quite famous hip vegetarian restaurant, although perhaps a bit jaded. In summer the Treman Park has awesome waterfalls with a swimming hole and lifeguards to cool off at. A must do. I'll miss the bagels at the Ithaca Bakery and the lamb burgers at the Americana Winery restaurant, both are memorable. Plenty to do so go for a weekend

“An institution, not in the institutional sense”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

Toured with friends visiting from California. Ithaca is "gorges", but the scenery here is spectacular and the international flavor generated by the multitude of students, makes this place a treasure, even if a little hilly.
