“very low class food for high price”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2012

We went there on july the 6th. we got there at 4:30 . When we were seated on the patio right by the water...was romantic, quiet and pretty. then all of a suddent right on the side of the restaurant there is a plastic white tent and behind there coming out of the kitschen were guys swearing and talking about all kinds of things inappropriate some of them spitting very loudly . happened once, i loooked at my fiance and happened a second time, and then the third time i yelled something back at them then i changed seats and came to sit inside. i knew at that moment we should have just left..the place does not look very clean carpet filthy, chairs and some tables were crusted in ketchup ... but we had ordered already.
and i ordered the prime rib meal 22.00$ . i got a sald first with wilted leaves. looked frozen and about 1/2 cup of it . The waitress brought us some breadsticks that were hot dog buns microwaved with garlic salte. in a basket lined with coffee filters.. my plate came and on there was the meat and the three salt potatoes that looked like they had deflated while microwave process. very rubbery potatoes and mushy on the inside. my meat looked re heated. it has a gray shade to it and the edges were very tough. My fiance ordered the two cajun chicken breasts 17$ with some rice and that is all he got 7in his plate. the spices they put in the rice and the chicken was so overpowering he could not eat it. I told the waitress and she says this is how they do it. No can i try it again with no spices, no effort etc. by the time we left this place it was almost 6pm and we were still the only people in the restaurant and two people in the bar. Hmmmmmmm just makes me wonder.... the waitress tells us they are always extremely busy there. I would not go back.... i have told the waitress how i felt we paid the bill then we left. I would go eat at a small mom and pop shop before here.

“Location is the best part”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

The food here is ok, but the menu is diverse in pricing. Depending on your budget you can get out of here for under 8 bucks for a sandwich and fries, or go to the other extreme with crabs legs and steaks.

The burgers here are good, and the waffle fries are better, but the place doesn't always seem the cleanest.

The location is great, its one of only two waterfront restaurants that I know of and its a much better deal than Boatyard.

“Consistent: bad food and bad service”

Surly service not helped by finding a rubber band in my omelette (they graciously made me another). Carpet looks like it support a more diverse ecosystem than the one in Avatar.

“Great Location, Average Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2012

The fish here was okay but not as good as we ate at the Ithaca Ale House. There is nice patio seating next to the water so you can have a nice view here if you choose.

“Avoid at all cost!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2012

We went for dinner. Have not been here in years. They USE to be an excellent restaurant. The breadsticks were actually hot dog rolls, sprinkled with garlic salt and microwaved hot . Tough and doughy, and served in a basket lined with a coffee filiter.Three breadsticks offered for 4 people. Onion rings were soggy, "seasoned fries" were Oreida waffle fries, soaked in oil. The Salad was good with fresh vegetables . We ordered steak with salt potatoes. Neither steak was to order , His was not rare, Mine was not medium. We didn't bother sending back. There were 3 whole small potatoes in a small bowl with melted butter on them and no trace of being boiled in salt water. These were obviously leftovers, heated up. They were mush in the middle with a grey hue to them. Market value for the lobster tail , frozen and reheated , was $30. It was rubbery and sprinkled with OldBay seasonings, and had to ask for melted butter for it. The teen boy did enjoy his cheeseburger . I had warm flat rootbeer on ice , daughter said her cola was good and cold though. Do Not Bother Going Here.
