We spent two nights at the Hampton Inn Ithaca and were delighted with the service and the cleanliness of the hotel and the room. Kyle, our check-in clerk gave us lots of information about the restaurants in town (we loved the Boat Yard Grill who offered small plates), Cornell University, winery to see (Six Mile Creek) and the Buttermilk State Park (must see if you are into hiking).
This was our first time in an Hampton Inn hotel and it won't be our last. Oh, they also offer a very nice breakfast.

This was the annual trip bringing my daughter from Boston to Ithaca College, NY. We usually stay overnight twice a year in Ithaca. The past two years, we stayed at other places that were horrible! This year, we planned to go to Cooperstown on the way home so we brought our teen son along.Last year, Cooperstown was closed due to a big storm and our son came all the way and was very disappointed. I asked the hotel before booking about food availability (as he is always hungry) and things to interest him...in case a storm happened again! The hotels we had in the past were not kid friendly, smelled of cigarettes and had nothing to offer. However at the Hampton Inn, Ithaca, this room was clean, classy and convenient to the pool, the vending machines, ice,the parking, the exercise room and free breakfast! We also had a microwave and fridge in the room. It was fairly quiet and the staff was polite. We got a good night's sleep and kept our son happy. Although we paid more than what we wanted to pay, I guess as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for....."

Room Tip: Traveling with kids....stay on first floor near everything.

We recently stayed at the Hampton Inn. Beautiful and very clean. Comfy bed. Large fridge. No view, but we did not need one. We were there to visit Watkins Glen and do the wine tours. Plenty of beautiful scenery outside of the hotel- all around that area. The complementary breakfast was excellent. We visited Watkins Glen and several of the Seneca Falls wineries. There are many falls in the area to visit and they close by. We were very close to some very good restaurants in town as well, an Irish one named Fitzpatrick's was one we liked the best. The front desk staff were never to busy to answer questions and to provide maps to where we wanted to go along with specific directions.

Not far from Cornell, this hotel is on a busy commercial street. It is within walking distance of several places to eat and some stores. Free off-street parking. Rooms facing the residential back of the hotel are very quiet.

There is a nice little pool that I have never seen used, and a small exercise room. The usual Hampton breakfast is a good deal, included with the room. Free Internet for HHonors members. My room had a fridge, microwave, and flat screen TV. Really, this is a good room for the value. Large, clean room with sofa and coffee table. Plenty of room for a small family. Clean duvet and sheets every day so you can feel free to lie down on the bed.

Helpful front desk staff, with a menu book if you are looking for places to dine.

The hotel is a good value and I would stay there again.

Room Tip: Ask for the third or fourth floor, facing the rear, away from the road.

This is a very good, modern and clean hotel about 5 minutes away from Cornell University. The rooms are big and comfortable with good beds. They have a wide variety of food for breakfast. Free parking is available. Also they have indoor pool but we did not have a chance to use it. When we are going to be in the area next time, we are definetely going to stay at this hotel.

This was our first visit to Ithaca. We are considering relocating to Ithaca and had many questions about the area. Every front desk agent was knowledgeable about the area. Not only did they make excellent reccomendations, they were able to easily highlight directions on a local area map. You can read as many reviews and do as much research as you want, but nothing beats speaking with someone who has first hand experience. This staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

The accomodations were wonderful as well. Each room has a decent sized fridge and microwave. The room itself was impeccibly clean and the service staff was on top of things as well. The housekeeping staff didn't repeatedly pester us (like at other places) when we hung our "do not disturb" sign on the door; they simply left us a nice note telling us that if we needed anything to please call the front desk and they would be glad to accomodate. This Hampton Inn is a great value!

My family stayed here when we visited Cornell with my daughter. The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. The four of us were to stay in one room (2 queen beds with a rollaway). The first room we were given was too small for the rollaway to be opened up, but the staff quickly moved us to a much larger room that easily accomodated the rollaway.

The hotel is a little far from Cornell and it's an okay value but not terrific (we paid the AAA rate of around $171/night). Parking was plentiful and convenient. The room came with breakfast, which was quite nice if a little crowded. The fitness center consisted of three machines - a treadmill, an elliptical and a stationary bike. The fitness room was nice and there was plenty of room for me to do floor exercises after the aerobic workout. The pool looked nice as well, although I didn't use it. Wi-fi is free throughout the hotel.

Overall the Hampton Inn is a nice alternative if you need to stay somewhere in Ithaca.
