“Very nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2011

I am not a fan of Vietnamese cuisine. But Saigon Kitchen exceeded my expectations. Eggplant in garlic and black pepper sauce was simply perfect. Chow Fun needed a little more noodles and a thicker sauce. Admitted neither of those is a Vietnamese dish, but overall this an very nice restaurant.

“Deeee-lish!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2011

Best pho ever, brimming with tender rice noodles, meatballs, thin-sliced beef, and an accompaniment of fresh beansprouts and basil. Not a pho fan? Choose from their extensive menu of Vietnamese and Chinese selections. Inexpensive lunch menu with plenty of choices for vegetarians. Place is immaculate. Service is hit or miss, but cheerful. A favorite with locals (jammed at lunchtime today), and a worthwhile stop for visitors. Plenty of on-street parking.

“Pho-nomenal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2011

My spouse and I have both been looking for a place to satisfy our Vietnamese cuisine cravings. And that place is the Saigon Kitchen. The pho was deliciously broth-y though depending on your pho preferences it may be a tad on the sweet side. The spring rolls were meaty and flavorful, probably the best I've had. The har gow (clear shrimp dumplings), though not traditional Vietnamese dish, rivaled some of the better dim sum places in New York City. The Vietnamese grill pork chop is a must have -- again, some of the best I've had, better than any Vietnamese place I've dined at in the city. Did I mention it's inexpensive? Most entrees are between $7-9 with most appetizers between $4-6. Saigon Kitchen is currently my favorite restaurant in Ithaca.
