“Confortable and Clean”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

Small rooms but confortable bed and clean bathroom. Breakfast is included, and good internet connection.
Receptionist very friendly and guide us around the area. Plantation bar is the nearest Pub from Hotel (1 mile) .
Prices for room are cheaper comparing with others around.

This motel is a few miles outside of downtown Ithaca, but worth the trek for the value. The rooms were among the cleanest and freshest I've experienced--with comfortable beds and immaculate bathrooms, and the check-in and check-out experience was very pleasant. The young woman at the desk gave good recommendations about where to eat as well. The Internet and cable were fine. The price was probably the lowest you'd find in this area. I would seek it out again if I'm ever in the area.

Room Tip: Eat at the Antlers, which is just about next door. Fine food, good wine, and excellent beer selecti...

I hate working in Ithaca the traffic is awful and you cannot get a good room for the price. This is an old motor lodge that has been updated. The place is clean but really small. The internet was strong and bed was fine. Breakfast was what you expected. This is the only salesman friendly price in the area unless you go to Elmira or Cortland.

The previous reviews nicely sum up the Embassy Inn Motel. It's a very basic but clean and comfortable family motel that is well run and convenient to Cornell's campus. It's particularly close to the Cornell Plantations and North Campus. It will also be one of the least expensive options when staying in Ithaca (although it's relatively pricey for what you get, if you're just looking for a place to sleep while you explore the area, it's perfectly fine). The rooms are relatively large; the staff is friendly and accommodating; hot water is plentiful; wi-fi is easy and quick enough. Breakfast is nothing to write home about, but breakfast isn't really why you stay in a place like the Embassy Inn. Next time I'm in town, I will likely stay here again.

This motel is not near any major attractions or on major interstates, so the rates are reasonable even in summer. We were stopping just overnight, arriving late and leaving early, so all we wanted was a comfortable and clean room, and the Embassy Inn was this exactly. The staff were friendly both when we checked in and when we left in the morning. Our room was a bit small compared to others, but served our needs well. The most important thing was that although a bit dated, the room was spotlessly clean (Believe me, my wife insists on this!). The TV was an older tube model, but worked well and had good reception. The wireless was easy to access and worked well.

Really now, unless you are looking for a holiday destination, this is all you really need. There was even an unexpected free breakfast in the morning (Nothing fancy, but a plus for us!)

Room Tip: There are lots of restaurants down the road a while if you need breakfast in the morning.

We booked last minute for an en route stop, found the room as expected for this category of hotel, very basic but spotless. Breakfast includes cereals, fruit (bananas), selection of packaged pastries, tea, coffee ampnd there is a cappuccino machine.

This is a budget motel in a city of high end accommodations. I found it appealing on first sight. We were able to check in at 2:30. Our room was small but spotless. We had plenty of room for our things. One really nice feature was the coating on the window in the front of our room which made seeing in difficult so we did not have to keep the curtain closed as at so many motels. It was Cornell Reunion weekend and we felt lucky to pay only $89 when most area accommodations were $200 or more with a three night minimum. We stayed only one night.

The breakfast was take out and the usual highly sugared high calorie muffins marked on label 2 servings so they were actually 460 calories each. Bananas were available.

Parking at our door is always convenient. We were on the first floor and had strong wifi connection.
