“Well-maintained gorge trails with many beautiful waterfalls”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

The series of waterfalls one encounters following the trail that runs the length of this park are really beautiful, so if one is into photography like me, this is the perfect outing. The actual trails are quite demanding if one is going to do the entire trek.
I would recommend starting it in the uphill direction (ie from the lower park access closer to Ithaca), to give oneself a bit of rest on the return trip. However, that lower part of the park trails provides enough up-and-down climbing/descending to promise a good workout no matter which way one is traveling. For those of us in the older demographic, take it slow, rest when you need to... the resulting views are well worth the exertion.

“beautiful park with waterfalls”

I spent several hours there and it was really great, enjoyed every minute. The waterfalls are gorgeous and it was pleasant and refreshing on a warm summer day.

“Waterfalls!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

My family camped here for a long weekend. The campsites were smaller than we were used to but adequate, we had water nearby and an electric hookup. Nearby there was a playground for the small kids and it was safe to let them ride bikes in our area. The roadway to enter is a shallow stream which is novel but I was glad we had our pathfinder and not my Volt.
The real attraction is the hiking and waterfalls. They are 10 star worthy and if you are a novice hiker plan 3 days to be able to see it all

“Nice hiking”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013 via mobile

Hiked the Gorge and Rim Trails, and climbed the Cliff Staircase to see Lucifer Falls. Nice hike. Upper Gorge Trail was still closed on Oct 2. Recommend hiking the Gorge Trail east-to-west, as this goes upstream, and gets you closer to Enfield Creek.

“Great place to visit & hike the gorge trails”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

Were disappopinted that recent storm damage prevents accessing Lucifer Falls from the Gorge Trail, but honestly, the view is better from the rigged & steeper Rim Traol accessed from the upper entrance. Mill is also interesting.
