“Hiking and Swimming”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2012

This is a great New York state park. Several fun hiking trails, a great swimming gorge, where the water is usually nice and cool. Stunning waterfalls, eddys, and pools cut in the rocks, be sure to hike the gorge trail. Annoying is several signs that say "no swimming" and people are swimming. There is a large swimming area with a diving board! Camping looks good, but there are some areas where the sites are open with nothing between sites, so you are literally right next door to some other campers.

“Nice but not spectacular”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2012

This is a pretty waterfall with a swimming area at the base although "no swimming" signs are posted everywhere: still full of folks! The gorge is pretty and the steps are rather steep so be prepared for some climbing. Normally, I would have probably rated this higher but in comparison to Ithaca Falls and Watkins Glen State Park, it was not quite up to snuff. Still, a nice way to spend a couple of hours. Parking costs about $7.

“Incredible falls and challenging hiking on the high road”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2012

Take the high trail through the woods from the parking lot and you'll spend about 45 minutes and maybe 2-1/2 miles until you get to the most incredible waterfalls. An absolute favorite hike in all of Ithaca.
