Went there on a friday night during the holiday season and the place was filled to capacity....and for good reason.. The meals were incredible, as always. We started off with Gorgonzola Bread which could be a meal unto itself, but dont fill up on it, you'll be sorry...Salads were next, they were nice and fresh, but to truly enjoy the Jimmy Hays experience, get the Red Roquefort dressing. Dont bother getting anything else. As far as the main courses go, i had Steak Diane, cooked to perfection, with an excellent sauce. Nothing left on the plate. The rib eye special was tender and well marbled and mouth watering, the porterhouse for one was sliced and served and quickly disappeared, the filet au poivre had the same result. The lobster jimmy, sauteed in cognac sauce and then broiled i believe, was expensive at $60.00, but then again it wasn't finished it was so big. Dessert platter came but by then everyone was so full we really couldn't comment on it.....but it too completely disappeared. The only drawback is when you leave you ecpect to be in Midtown Manhattan not Island Park....this place is one of a kind for the south shore......and well worth it.
