Visited the Dix Hills Diner last night with friends for a quick and easy dinner. Haven't been here in years and was pleasantly surprised with the much needed facelift.
Clean and spacious entrance with a comfortable diner atmosphere. We were a party of 4 (2 adults/2 kids) and were seated in a nice, spacious booth. Our waiter was attentive and took care of our needs promptly.
Food was typical diner fare - nothing to brag about. Chicken rice soup a bit bland. Grilled cheese was good but served on plain white plate that made the sandwich appear flat. Waiter didn't make any recommendations for side dishes or add ons. No cole slaw or pickle.
Kids ordered breakfast items which they devoured!
The diner was busy and I'm sure the weekends must be jammed.
Great little diner tucked in the split between rt 25 and deer park rd in east Northport/ Dix hills area.
I would certainly visit again.
