We have been visiting the Golden Dolphin for 15 years, maybe once every three months or so. It is so well run! My husband likes to say that any new restaurant should send people to the Dolphin to learn how to manage a restaurant. They are fast and efficient. They are so fast and so good at service! If you spill your drink, you are still in the process of lifting your arm off the table to avoid the spill when someone materializes with a rag to mop it up! You no sooner sit down than you have a free appetizer. This restaurant is always full but it moves fast... And if there is a need for you to wait for a table, they feel bad and bring you out appetizers on trays like at a wedding!
Teddy and Peter are the owners and you will see them everywhere, greeting guests, running the register, and managing the staff. They will remember you on future visits.
The food? Typical diner fare. But in large quantities-- the bread basket alone is gigantic!-- with tons of sides that come with your entree. And the choices are endless-- it's a long menu!
You may not say that the food is the best you ever ate, but you'll say it's good and you'll enjoy your meal. The Greek foods and diner classics such as hamburgers and omelettes are good choices. They do these extremely well. And you will definitely find the service the best in the business.
