went to opening night in spring 2012, Elvis Costello. wrote a review then that i did not like the attitude and drinks in plastic cups at $8 beer.
been back. some of the comments especially about the people on the floor along the bars talking throughout the entire show were/are absolutely correct. if one wants to go to a bar and socialize, go to Honuu across the street, don't ruin the experience for people who come for the music by talking over the music. the security guys who walk around in dark suits with earpieces project a vibe that seems uneccessary( i have to confess i have no idea if they have had problems).
that being said i saw Graham Parker and sat up top. acoustics were ok, sight lines good. bought tickets a few days before at a good discount(Ian Hunter was headliner) and had a great time.
so my advice is if you want to see a performr buy reserved seats, if its not going to sell out wait to buy tickets till theres a discount online.
