“Absolutely Perfect.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2010

To start with, the service was excellent. Dini met us at the door to help carry in our bags followed by Windle and the cutest, friendliest little doggy I have ever met. After a quick tour of our bed and bathroom, Dini told us that if we had any questions we should feel free to ask. The only question we had was where to eat in town. He was very knowledgeable about the city and made some fantastic recommendations.
When we got home, he told us there were wine glasses in the dining room if we needed them and put out corkscrews in case the guests needed them. Shelves full of a very eclectic collection of books in the reading room, we even had books on the shelves in our room.
We had read the reviews prior to going and had heard about the now infamous breakfast, but let me tell you until you've tried it you will not believe it. Two mornings, different meals and both were unbelievably good.
We had the Green Room which is so big and beautiful. With so many windows it's bright and beautiful during the day, but the curtains are heavy enough in the event you want to sleep in. Gas fireplace was great for that romantic/cozy feel and really warms the room. Television in the bathroom went great with the enormous bathtub in the very spacious bathroom. Great separate shower too, in case you're not a bath person.
The room and especially the bed were immaculate and the rest of the furniture (couch, desk, tables) had that used but still new feel to them that made it very comfortable and homey in the room.
I would recommend this place to absolutely anyone and plan on visiting again.

What a delight! Warm, friendly, charming, thoughtful, and generous owners (and a cute dog) provide great service, terrific breakfasts, newspapers, and great advice on where to eat and what to see in town. Large, beautiful rooms are quiet and comfortable enough to spend the whole day in, napping and reading, although there's plenty to see and do (and eat) in Hudson. The whole experience vastly exceeded our expectations, and we plan to come back, probably with friends.

My husband and I stayed our anniversary weekend at the Inn while antique shopping and dining in the charming "city" of Hudson. Upon stepping into the Inn we were greeted by two enormous tiger statues on the front porch, welcoming us into a majestic retreat. The style of the B&B was gothic, romantic, and quirky. The Innkeepers renovated the entire building, rescuing it from dilapidation. And what a stunning renovation, they restored the character and beauty of the Dutch and Jacobean architecture while adding a bit of fun with some modern and unique antique decor. All in all, everything fit. Our room, the Cocoa Suite, was spacious and cozy, touched off perfectly with a gas fireplace and accouterments that met our every need. Dini and Windle (the Innkeepers) were very friendly, shared exceptional stories, cooked fantastic breakfasts (the peach schnapps french toast was amazing!), and made excellent local recommendations. An incredibly interesting couple - we wish that we could've gotten to talk to them more! We will definitely come back to the Inn at Hudson the next chance we get.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights over Labor Day Weekend as a getaway from NYC and it was the perfect choice of B&B; I would definitely come back. Dini's breakfasts (made individually - he has a selection of delectable sweet & savory dishes on the menu each day) rival anything you'd find in Manhattan. The Inn is beautifully done and the garden is the back was a perfect place to enjoy some wine & cheese. Additionally, Dini & Windle know the area / a ton of people and can help you figure out how to do pretty much anything you want to explore while you're in Hudson (bike rentals, kayaking, farmers markets, arts events, local restaurants / cafes, etc.)

I've stayed here several times, and at other B&Bs and hotels in the Hudson area, and no other place comes close. The inn is an architectural gem, outside and inside. Decor is bohemian but always tasteful without being boring. My room was huge, comfortable, clean and quiet. Dini and Windle are consummate hosts who will do their utmost to please their guests. If they don't know the answer to a question about the area, they will find some one who does know. Delicious breakfasts, made to order. This is what the B&B experience is all about: interesting and gracious hosts, fine food, great lodging.

This place by far out does every B&B I've stayed in the U.S.. Besides the amazing mansion the hospitality of our two hosts, Dini & Windel was truly wonderful. Dini is an amazing cook, our breakfasts were absolutely to die for, better than any upscale brunch in NYC. Our room was larger than our living room at home, and the bathroom was large enough that two ladies could get ready at the same time and not bump into each other. The entire place was beautifully decorated and the garden was spectacular, I actually got to see a humming bird while I sat on the patio of the garden one foot in front of me, and I haven't seen that since I was a teen. The Inn is walking distance to all shops and restaurants which is great at night when you don't want to get in your car and drive around, or if you don't have car at all. And a special third host help me and my partner from missing our dogs, little Psyche, a border terrier who's happy to bring you her toy for a game of fetch. I recommend this place highly, don't bother with another place.

We visited Hudson to take in the many historic sites and mansions in the area. When we arrived at the Hudson Inn we we astonished at the gardens and condition of the place. Windel and Dini have done a fantastic job at restoration and their greeting was nothing short of warm and welcoming. While we visited the many mansions over 3 days we always returned to a room that rivaled anything we had seen in a Vanderbuilt or Rockerfeller home. The breakfasts were fanatasic and when we had to leave early Dini said just tell me the time and I wll be up to make it for you. The hospitality and stories from Dini will delight any visitor. This is a gem that anyone visiting the area should not miss.
