“Great hotel,expensive breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2010

Stayed 3 nights, front desk staff was very helpful, rooms nice and clean, nice pool. Breakfast for $10.95 was expensive for the quality of food served. You have to order with the cook yourself, waitress delivers. This doesn't make sense for the price. Food not really that good.

Stayed here one night while visiting Corning. Nice hotel, very clean, comfy beds, very friendly. Good location near highway and mall, close to Corning for restaurants and attractions.

Not much to say here, it was very nice and all about what you'd expect from a Hilton. Very please. We had a lovely suite and did dinner at a nearby restaurant, but the hotel does have it's own . . we just like the Outback. the cookies at the desk were a nice touch. A+

This is one of the three hotels we've stayed in at Horseheads (the other two are the Country Inn and the Holiday Inn).
Rate: Reasonable, considering it's the same price
Parking: There were plenty of spaces available when we arrived late one evening.
Check-in: Quick and no fuss.
Room: Simple and tasteful. The beds are comfortable, and the rest of the furnishings seem new-ish and updated.
Bathroom: Clean, with complimentary amenities.
Breakfast: Great hot American breakfast included. Eggs, sausage, and toast were good.
Cleanliness: Room and bathroom were very clean.
Post-stay: We received an email from the hotel asking us to review the property, and responded with favorable remarks.

We stayed here while visiting Elmira College, Friday through Sunday. The hotel is clean and quiet. The staff at the hotel is very accommodating beginning with reserving a room through check-out. The reservationist, Melissa, was cheerful and sounded like she enjoyed doing her job. We made a couple of requests for our room, too, which we found to be comfortable, cozy, and quiet. Jonathan and Amanda, two desk staff, were knowledgeable of the area and friendly. Nick, the bartender, is a great guy. The breakfast is buffet-style for $9.95. The service staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast entrees were typical. Though we didn't eat lunch or dinner at the hotel, it certainly smelled delicious (brazilian lobster tails, prime rib, salmon). The hotel is located across the street from the Arnot Mall -- convenient. Outback was down the street. Jonathan directed us to an authentic mexican restaurant, Garcia's -- fabulous!!! It is a simple drive to get to Elmira College via back roads or highway -- accessible to both. The pool was active with kids. The exercise room had two ellipticals, two treadmills, and gym machine. We would stay in this hotel again without question. Keep up the good work!!!!

Since we couldn't find any rooms available in Corning, NY, this location was very close. The hotel was extremely clean. Free cookies and coffee in the afternoon - Yum! Swimming pool was great too! It's also very close to lots of restaurants!

  • Liked — Cleaniness of the Hotel & the Free cookies!
  • Disliked — nothing

This is a very good Hilton Garden Inn in a mall-like setting. Everything was new and functioned well. The customer service was superb -- I forgot my prescription drugs in my room and the hotel sent them to my home by next-day FedEx, at no charge to me. I will not forget this.

  • Liked — Superb customer service
  • Disliked — Surrounded by malls, nothing interesting to walk to.
