This is a great great place to enjoy solid mexican food. My Mom usually takes me here every time I visit her in Queretaro.
Decor- The restaurant is in an old colonial style hacienda with the central patio serving as the main dinning hall. All the tables have an umbrella so rain or shine it's perfect- they also protect you against the occasional Jacaranda "seed". Anyway, the setting is perfect.
Food- You should order "gorditas de miga". As you say in the USA, OMG, so so so good. Then continue with an order of carnitas- your safe bet is to order maciza and cueritos. Finally, do not miss the flan, great stuff. Good tequilas and cervezas.
Do not miss this restaurant if you are in the area, it can be a very nice ending to a day out in the Pena de Bernal.
