Wonderful place! Staff is warm and very helpful. Breakfast (extra charge) includes delicious baked goods made fresh that morning on premises. Main door is locked at night; you ring a bell for after-hours entry and the all-night manager lets you in and keeps non-guests out, so it feels like a safe place to stay.
Rooms are spotlessly clean. Toilet and spacious shower each has its own room with locking door, both separate from sink area, so sharing a room with family, friends, or strangers all work out pretty well.
Fantastic rooftop terrace has incredible 360 degree views of Queretaro. Terrace is almost finished as of this writing and we are told it will have umbrella tables so it can be enjoyed during the hot daytime hours as well as the cool evenings.
Only drawbacks in my opinion: (1) wifi is maddeningly unreliable, and (2) rooms have several sealed skylights that let in the plentiful Queretaro sunlight (and heat) but there is only one small window in the entire room that opens (in the toilet room) and no AC, so our room in April gets too warm pretty quickly. However, there is a large fan mounted on the wall in the sleeping area of each room - and you can ask for an additional fan at the front desk - to make the temperature more comfortable.
