“great local initiative and very interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2012

This is run by local Damara people to show there traditions, at least as they used to be. We chose the option to see village life, but they had other options such as bush walks available as well. It was very friendly, interesting and colorfully set up. They showed village life, medicinal plants, a blacksmith, making fires, playing games, dancing, etc. Our guide was very charming and spoke excellent English. It was a fun visit, and supports the local people. I recommend it.

“Nice Cultural Museum!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2012

The Damara Living Museum gives you a very good idea on how the Damara used to live. They tell you about their medicine, there beer, there fire-making skills, and off course they show how they used to live! This comes with a little dancing performance in the end.

It's a nice and community-organised visit, and it's worth it!

“What an Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2012

It was the first time that I visited the Damara Living Museum, it was amazing. The way the culture was presented to us in such a friendly and beautiful way. We had a group of 26 guests and it was a highlight they still talking about it. The dance's, crafts, making of the fire, the little children etc, etc It was amazing! Thank you very much
