It's great! We didn't find anywhere better in this town. Save your time and book it.
A tip to everyone though (AND TO THE OWNERS DIRECTLY) - don't support the touts / hawkers / con artists that plague the route to the hotel. As customers, you'll likely pay up to 2000 more for your room as the hotel owners subsidise and support this practice and these awful men. We learnt of this system whilst staying there.
A tourist supporting a local, hard working, honest, business/person in the town is an honourable practice and does more good than fuelling the cycle of commissions, kickbacks and lies from these commission seekers. And on the way to this 'hotel' there was an infestation of them.

You can easily walk up to the hotel.. It's a nice walk of about 10 minutes. Follow the SIGN and walking track above the coastline when halfway up the hill. You don't 'need' a taxi or a 'guide'.
Folks, we would definitely stay here again. Mayoka Village, the lake (safe to swim in) and Nkhata Bay are superb. The 'hotel' is an oasis in the middle of your African travels. There is a good vibe at night in and around the bar and if your solo travelling a great place to meet others.

Even the camping is spread around the shady gardens.
Don't worry, you've found yourself a fun, 5 star paradise. You'll probably streeetch out your number of days here.
Safe trip everyone.
For the owner: you have built an incredible, enviable paradise. For the sake of all those around you don't let alcohol destroy everything you have built.
There are 'lots' of paths, stairs and private corners to the site, which delivers privacy an...
