I figured it's an Applebees, right? They have pretty consistent service at their restaurants.. Not so at this location. Got there at 12:05 on a Wednesday. It was my first dining experience at a NY restaurant on this trip. There were maybe 5 other tables with customers. We were there for about 90 minutes and they never had more than 7 other tables filled. We were seated right next to the hostess station. We got to enjoy their wonderful conversations about their private lives and daily dilemma's - and their NY potty mouths. Good grief, both my wife and I commented to them on their choice of words with my kids sitting right there. Hostess snapped and said "Seriously?".. Service was so-so. Waiter was not eager to refill our drinks or stop back at the table after dropping off the food.. found out why after we got the bill - they automatically add tip for parties of 6 or more (we had 6)... and lastly.. THE PRICES! I thought it was because we were in NY... the menu prices are 30-50% higher than other Applebees across the country. We dined at other chains on our trip and their prices were in the normal range. Not sure why this location charges so much.
