“Perfect & Affordable for Hall of Fame Weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2011

After a lot of research and pricing I chose this hotel for Memorial Day weekend for myself and my husband. It was the perfect choice for us. The rates were reasonable considering it was a holiday weekend. The driving distance from the hotel to Cooperstown was only about 10 minutes and there was a trolley about 5 minutes away that takes you into the town for $2. I recommend the trolley as parking can be tough at times in the town. Hotel was clean and breakfast had a great variety. If you are going to Cooperstown I definitely recommend this hotel...would stay again.

This Best Western completely satisfied our expectations. We were looking for a decent hotel near the Baseball Hall of Fame. We stayed for two nights. We were upgraded for free and loved our room. I was a bit worried after seeing one review about bed bugs. We inspected the bed before climbing in and saw no evidence of bed bugs. The bed was extremely comfortable (very soft sheets). The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of choices. Most of the employees were helpful and knowledgable (except one man who said he'd never even been to the Baseball HOF and couldn't give us any information about it). This was an affordable and very enjoyable weekend for my husband and I.

Clean, pleasantly-decorated hotel, attentive and friendly staff. I am a fussy complainer when it comes to hotels, and always inspect carefully upon check-in. I found nothing to complain about here - we both liked it very much. I loved the location of the room, too - close to the door around the side where we parked, close to the ice machine, and close to the lobby - in fact, I think this hotel is nicely designed so nobody would have to trudge too far to get what they needed. I can't stand hotels where you have to walk 15 minutes to get to your room. The hotel is also well-located within walking distance of restaurants (including McD's) and a grocery store. Nice bedding and lots of pillows, the tv was fine - though the sleep timer didn't work via the remote control. The hotel has a beautiful room for breakfast - spacious with large windows (they might even be patio doors - I can't remember), and a tv, comfortable tables/chairs. The breakfast offerings were satisfactory - the usual muffins & breads of all sorts, eggs, biscuits & gravy, waffle station, coffee, hot choc, juice, etc. Suggestions for future room upgrades would be perhaps a corner table in the corner by the window because there's no room for a table/chair next to the tv armoire, and more comfortable beds. But these are not complaints - just thoughts for the future. Cooperstown is a fantastic place to visit at any time of the year. The town could not be more charming and lovely, and the scenery is wonderful. Picturesque plus, to be sure. Their Christmas decorations are so beautiful. Many businesses are closed for the season, but there's still a lot to do and see there. We went to the Fenimore art museum, which was FANTASTIC and gorgeously decorated for Christmas, and we also went to the Fly Creek Cider Mill and bought many Christmas gifts in their terrific store.

Easy to find, located on the road to Cooperstown; pleasant staff and excellent rooms...indoor pool, too..we checked in late and asked about dinner in town..the staff called ahead for us and the restaurant stayed open. What service! Wish we had planned to stay longer!

My husband found this hotel online. It had the best price available. When we arrived we were moved up to a Junior suite at no additional cost. The room was very spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. Had a wonderful nights sleep.
My son utilized the indoor pool and exercise room. Both were clean, although on the small side, but it was fine.
Breakfast was very good and the woman attendant there was very friendly and helpful. She did a great job and really made you feel welcome. All the items there were well stocked.
It was a few miles away from the Hall of Fame, but there was a small shopping center right next to it with a supermarket, McDonalds and Pizza Hut, along with a few other stores. Very convenient.

Even better than I was expecting, and made my trip so much more enjoyable! Room was nice, Breakfast was great, and the Loction is AWSOME! Pool not so great, but the sevice is wonderful. When I forgot to remove the Do Not Disturb sign from the door in the morning, when I returned that night they came right away with fresh towels and removed the old ones. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Cooperstown!

Stayed here one night while visiting Hall of Fame. Clerk was friendly and helpful, rooms were new and very clean, flat screen TV, bathroom was large, pool was clean and nice, hot tub was wonderful. Breakfast was more than usual, choices for every taste. Approx 4 miles from Hall of Fame. In same parking lot as Pizza Hut, which was nice for dinner. Will defin. come back!!
