“Nice rooms and grounds”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

This is a group of separate buildings around a common area, I think around 50 units or so. The grounds are really nice, lots of trees, very lush. My room was large, with a high ceiling, private deck, and four poster king bed. There was a mini-fridge next to a small sink. There was a small desk. Lots of drawer space. Bathroom was decent size, with a warming light overhead, and toiletries included. My rate included a breakfast voucher of up to $30. The food was good, but I'm glad I had the voucher because it was a bit expensive.

Room Tip: I had second floor -- I assume these are the ones with the high ceilings.

Stayed here for my birthday weekend in June. Staff is super friendly, check in/out was easy peasy. The rooms are gorgeous and well kept. I had a view of the pool area and there was deck space with an umbrella table out back of the room. The only thing with my room was you could see all the neighbors out on their decks, too. So not so private, but this is the Hamptons Dahhhling, so the neighbors politely ignore you. The place also runs a restaurant that is a hot spot for breakfast in the area, with good reason. Everything I had was great. I would definitely come back here. Great place with a good value----well, for the Hamptons.

What a gem. We stayed for a couple of nights and so glad we found this fabulous place. Fantastic stylish room with big king 4 poster bed (we stayed in room 47). Spotlessly clean. Lovely balcony overlooking the garden. Extensive manicured grounds and super pool area with cabana. Wow what an amazing breakfast. Super friendly and helpful staff with a great dinner suggestion which was in easy walking distance and had an amazing view and glorious food. Don't stay anywhere else, you won't be dissappointed.

Room Tip: All rooms looked to have balcony's or decks. We loved room 47 as it was large and the bed was am...

The Hampton Maid is AWESOME at a VERY GOOD PRICE.....

The rooms are spacious - very clean - and comfortable - with a fridge and mini sink. The beds are clean and comfortable. The cleaning staff is very sweet and nice.

The front office staff is very helpful, polite, and kind.

The property and grounds are so beautiful - The pool is a descent size......and very clean - it is open 24 hours

Now let's talk about the Breakfast that is served at the Hampton Maid - oh Man the breakfast is fresh and light - I enjoyed my breakfast at the Hampton Maid - so good and light - I loved it. Also all the locals it at the restaurant for breakfast from 7pm to 1pm.

We all loved this hotel (family of 4)! It was the last hotel on a 3 weeks holiday touring NY and New England and by that time we needed something uncomplicated and nice. We absolutely loved the Hampton Maid and the fact that it is motel with less frills was actually appealing at this stage of our trip. The cottages were delightful and felt very cosy particularly as we experienced torrential rain and thunderstorm one night! The lawn in front of the cottages was immaculate and the kids loved it. The small playground was also very nice and a good meeting spot for children. The pool was really lovely and it was not at all crowded, in fact we mostly had it to ourselves. From reading other reviews we had high expectations of the breakfast and it was indeed lovely, like oldfashioned home cooking. But I was missing something. I think the problem was that with the success of the breakfast (far beyond hotel guests) it had lost some of it's original idea and become somewhat a production site and with it's breakfast (experience) more trying to restrict rather than see what the customers may want.. eg: 'NO SUBSTITUTIONS', 'SHARED PLATE PRICE' etc.. My husband loves having tomatoes with his breakfast and there was no problem having that (and it was not that we minded paying for it) but it's a bit annoying getting the question ' so you want a side order? 'Well yes, I want a tomato please' but it had to be defined as a side order before the restaurant was willing to meet the request as if millions of customers had taken the advantage of their friendliness and gotten free tomatoes or shared plates without paying for it for years.. Staff seemed the same, friendly enough but quite fed up with the customers (and mind you most of them were young girls).
But this is certainly not the last time we will be visiting the Maid as those cottages and pool provided perfect holiday surroundings.

We stayed here this past week with 2 other families, including children from 2 years old - 11 years old. We loved the rustic feel of the inn, yet the modern amenities were a great surprise. The rooms were spacious, updated and clean. The kids loved having the huge lawn, playground and nice pool. The adults were able to enjoy themselves (and even relax), while watching the kids play. The beaches were only a few minutes away; the bay was very quiet and the main beach had big waves and more fun! No fitness center on sight, so we went for a run down the local roads. We enjoyed the non-hectic Hamptons "scene," low-key, not crazy. Breakfast at the hotel was wonderful. Very family friendly and casual - food was great. We were also happy that the drive from the NY Metro area was 2 hrs - not the usual 5 hours of traffic that you would incur going out to the rest of the Hamptons. We look forward to our next visit (the kids are already asking, "when can we come back?")

Room Tip: We had a room right near the parking area, which was great for bringing the bags back and forth. Th...

What an absolutely lovely hotel--exceeded our expectations in every way. The grounds are stunning and the atmosphere is so unique...lots of pine trees and little luxury cabins dotting the property, with a delightful salt tang to the air. We felt like we were in Northern California. Just peaceful and quiet and luxury at a reasonable price. The rooms are clean and comfortable with simply amazing beds. It just has everything you need. The breakfast at the inn is pricey but just worth it in every way. One morning I had sliced fresh mangoes, the next morning sliced fresh local peaches. Perfectly done eggs and corned beef hash. My husband had the Hampton Maid platter which had everything on it. Staff is caring and concerned. Every cabin has a little balcony or patio that seems quite private. Small but very nice pool. We stayed here for a wedding in the area, but we would come back for a trip on our own. It's just so nice to have a hotel outdo itself in every way.
