“The Braddest Place in Town!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2011

While not a traditional luxury hotel, the Harborfront Inn met all of our expectations and then some.

OVERALL
The hotel is clean, new and comfortable. We would not hesitate to return to the Harborfront Inn. The hotel was walking distance from all of the best places to visit in town.

STAFF
The staff is very kind and aims to please. The star of the group is BRAD. Not only did Brad check us in, but he talked us through the two rules of the hotel:
1- Don't break stuff
2- No parties in the hotel room
Those two rules changed our approach to staying in the hotel, as Greenport is known for its raucous, rockstar-like party scene. Brad was also knowledgeable about the local eateries as well as vineyards. He had some great recommendations for us. If you stay at the Harborfront, make sure you ask for Brad!

ROOM
Our room was on the ground floor of the hotel, facing the water. The room was very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was pretty high end, and the shower was amazing. We couldn't hear noise from any other neighboring rooms, even though the hotel was sold out the weekend we were there. The room also has a mini-fridge in case you want beer (and we sure did).

OTHER
The hotel offers a free breakfast spread in the morning, as well as coffee/beverages throughout the day. We thought this was a nice touch.

Thank you so much for your very positive feedback about the Harborfront Inn and our staff. Brad was especially thrilled to read your post, as he, along with the rest of the Harborfront team, work very hard to ensure that all of our guests are well taken care of. We hope that you decide to visit the Harbofront Inn again soon and we'll be sure that Brad is here to greet you!

We consider the Harborfront Inn the best place to stay in the Northfork.....New accommodations,
"boutique hotel feel." We recommend a room with a balcony facing Shelter Island. You can watch the ferries at night...just beautiful!

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts about the Harborfront Inn. It is such a compliment to be considered the best hotel on the North Fork and an accolade that the Harborfront staff works hard to earn. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and agree that the views from our rooms of the harbor are just beautiful. We hope you'll return again soon and enjoy all that the Harborfront and Greenport have to offer!

My husband and I stayed at The Harborfont for our anniversary getaway to the North Fork. The hotel itself is modern, very clean and right in the heart of town. We parked our car on Friday night and didn't move it until we checked out on Sunday. The staff was very helpful with restaurant recommendations (try Noah's and The Farmhouse). The price was very reasonable as we booked a fall/winter getaway package ($399 for two nights including a $30 restaurant credit to Noah's and a bottle of Bedell First Crush in our room). My only complaint would be that the pillows in the room were too soft. Otherwise a great hotel in a quaint seaside village.

We are so glad to hear you chose the Harborfront Inn for your anniversary getaway. Our staff is incredibly knowledgable about all things local, but it is always reassuring to receive positive feedback about our recommendations. We do offer pillows with different levels of firmness, which we are glad to deliver to your room with a call down to the front desk. We'd love the chance to make your next stay even more memorable and we hope you'll visit again soon!

Even with a hurricane hunkering down on the North Fork in late August, the team at the Harborfront Inn at Greenport kept everything together for the guests that remained. We were in Greenport to attend a wedding so really had no choice but to follow through on the holiday plans. From the moment we arrived, until we decided it was best to depart one night early the whole team at the Inn kept us well cared for. Thanks to the quick thinking of the operations manager, there was even coffee in the morning despite the fact the electricity had gone out in the whole Inn. The weekend will forever be engrained in my mind thanks to the wedding, the hurricane and the fantastic staff at the Harborfront Inn in Greenport. I cannot wait to see them all again...with or without a hurricane.

Room Tip: Any room on higher floor facing the bay is good.

Hunkering down in the hurricane last summer here at the Harborfront was certainly an adventure, and we're more than pleased to hear that our staff made your stay as enjoyable as possible. We hope you'll return in better weather to have the chance to experience Greenport and our beautiful North Fork surroundings and allow the Harborfront staff to ensure a comfortable stay once again. Thank you!

This hotel is very nice, very clean and the rooms are a nice size. The balcony and the pool are a definite plus. It was mid September so some of the shops and restaurants were closed but there were stil plenty to pick from. Noah's is across the street and has a good variety and the food is very good. I found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful although I think we might have caught someone on an off moment upon check in, she seemed a little put out but that was a very small incident.

Room Tip: I would request a room facing the harbor and avoid the parking lot view and I would try to stay away...

Thank you for your comments on your recent stay at the Harborfront Inn. Although your overall experience was positive, we are sorry to hear that your welcome at check in was anything less than satisfactory. Our staff gives every effort to provide our guests with superior customer service throughout their visit. We hope to be your accommodation of choice on your next trip to the North Fork.

We love to come to the North Fork to bike. We have had a hard time finding a place that met our standards for being clean. We tried the Harborfront on a last minute trip and were more than happy. The rooms were a good size and very very clean. We stayed in a room with a king size bed which was very comfortable. The room had a balcony that overlooked the parking lot and Carosel but if we just turned out chairs we were looking at the bay. The flush of the toilet was very loud and powerful which is great but not in the middle of the night. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. There is an outdoor heated pool that stays open until late September which is rare to be open so late in the year. There is an indoor gym. There is a continental breakfast in the morning that has bagels, cold cereal and some fruit. During the day they have lemon water, tea and coffee out for guests to have. The location is right in the town of Greenport which is nice to be able to walk to dinner. The only thing that could make this place better is if it was located on the beach, but you cannot have everything. We stayed the second week of September when the rates are lower. In season the price is high but high everywhere. We will return here and finally feel we found a place near the beach that is clean and musty free.

Room Tip: If you really want a view of the bay make sure you state that when you book, those rooms cost more...

Thank you for choosing the Harborfront Inn. We appreciate you sharing your experience and are so glad to hear you had an enjoyable stay. Many of our guests enjoy biking on the scenic North Fork and the Harborfront is a great place to begin and end a day of cycling. Although our downtown location doesn't have direct beach access, there are many beautiful beaches nearby and we offer complimentary town beach passes to all of our guests. Our staff looks forward to seeing you again on your next trip to the North Fork.

This is a fine boutique hotel with few amenities but with a nice staff, nice rooms and great location. I would recommend this place for a nice, short trip to Greenport. The rooms are spacious and attractive.
