OK - So I've heard ALL ABOUT Noah's and its exceptional food form pretty much anyone who'd been there. I went this past weekend with my wife. Right off the bat I was impressed with the vibe of the dining room. Its perfectly integrated with the bar, features simple yet elegant asian fish prints/pressings, and has wonderfully relaxing lightling and colors. The interior of Noah's is a big part of the experience - at least for me. The service was exceptional. Sweet, intelligent, and perfectly paced. The food on the other hand, was just plain good - which is not bad, obviously. The Miso Calamari was the star. Crisp, light, and tossed with deep fried jalapenos - nice. The Squash blossoms were good, although they seemed bland despite a luxurious filling. The real bummer for me was the tuna tar tar. I think the appeal of tar tar is the silky texture, and the deep ruby colors of the meat. At Noah's the tar tar is covered in a heaping pile of seaweed. The mouthfeel overwhelmed the tar tar, as did the sesame oil. It was a dissapointment. As were the cheese puffs (skip 'em). But again, the experience on balance was great. We will be back and hopefully the tar tar (which I know I'm mispelling) will be on the rebound:)
