I stayed at Cliffside for a weekend with several girlfriends. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The location was wonderful and we truly enjoyed the private beach. I've actually never seen such a pristine beach on long island. While the resort was not walking distance from downtown Greenport, it was a short and inexpensive taxi ride to e heart of town. I highly recommend this location for families, as well.

This place is probably value for Long Island but it just wasn't what we were looking for. We were mislead by pictures on the website. The website only shows you a close-up of the pool, the pool is actually quite small. The 'resort' is depressingly like an apartment complex in a seaside setting, I did not feel like I was on 'vacation'. It rates less than any Days Inn that we've stayed in, but having said that there are probably not very many nicer places in Long Island that allow kids. Beach is pebbly and not great for building sand castles or walking barefoot. The unit that we had rented was minimally decorated. We saw one or two others and ours was actually better looking, the ac in one of the others was not even working. I thought management was OK, the guy who came in to fix a light bulb was actually friendly and told us of several places in the area we could visit.

Our 1st vacation since my 11 month was born. I took my parents too. A perfect holiday. 2 room, enogh space and a fully functional kitchen which was great for preparing dinner for our little one.

Pool was great, beach not so much. Put that is the best you are going to get on the pebbly north shore.

The bbq grills were great. Whipped up a nice meal and then ate drinner while watching the sunset. I look forward to getting back there again

We traveled with another couple and were extremely pleased with the cleanliness of our room (building C, #105), the view from our balcony, and the location of the resort as it related to touring the wineries and getting into town. We were a bit surprised that there were so many families, and unfortunatley could hear children running in the unit above us, as well as a baby crying at night. Only one bedroom had a television, and our bedroom unfortunately had the air conditioning units outside our window (a bit noisy). Litle to no art on the bedroom walls. Bathroom was spotless and so was the kitchen. Master bedroom has tub/shower; second bathroom is a stall shower. You can't beat the location, and the views of the beach were beautiful. Overall, we had a great time, and I would highly recommend this resort...but request the second floor. :-)

Thank you Tom. Another year, another great stay. Our room, 4102, was the best so far, perfect views, perfect sunsets. I miss this place everytime I leave. We were one of the first guests in this resort when it first opened. The amenities and upkeep are top notch. Fully stocked kitchen, just bring the wine. Pool, laundry facilities, free wifi, satellite TV, flast screen televisions in every room, great location in every direction.

we had three adults and 3 kids in a two bedroom unit. Although it was a tight squeeze, it worked. The unit was clean, and the kitchen, which is tiny, was functional and had a dishwasher and two burner stove. The deck overlooking the pool was lovely. It is a very nice place and everyone was very friendly. The pool was not small but not large. it closes at 7, so be warned. There is a huge lawn that the kids can play on and the resort has put Adarondack chairs out there so you can sit and watch the sunset, which is nice. There is a path down to the beach (mostly rock). Beach is clean. This is a very nice resort.
