“The Nicest Owner & Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2014

The Great Neck Diner is not fancy and does not server haute
cuisine, but it is perfect for families and casual dining!! The owner and his staff always make you feel welcome. The food is affordable, fresh, and well prepared. I enjoy long lunches here and never feel rushed.

“Very Good Diner Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2014

This place should be on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. Well prepared food, always fresh. Daily specials are all home made, stuffed cabbage and chicken tacos I had were excellent. Very clean, fast and friendly service. Always looking to refill your coffee cup

“Not the best, not the worst”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2014

It's exactly what you would expect from a diner. Large breakfast menu, the usual burgers and sandwiches, etc. It's not a large place so when it's busy it tends to get very loud inside. Service is usual decent though the food is not always cooked as requested (well done eggs not cooked well enough).

It's fine for an easy breakfast or lunch but I wouldn't go there for dinner. There are more upscale diners not too far away that suit that time of day better.

“Not really a diner”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

This place has the usual choices of a local luncheonette and the food is fine. I would not call it excellent but then I do not expect excellent food in this type of establishment.

“Wonderful Summer Breakfast Spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2014

We spend part of every summer in Great Neck with family. There's no shortage of fun places to eat. I've only had breakfasts at this diner. The dinner menu is very limited and composed mainly of Greek dishes.

They have wonderful bread choices, my favorite being French Toast made with Challah bread! So rich and good. Blintzes with several filling choices are my husband's favorite. You can even have cold cereal with bananas, strawberries or blueberries for a few dollars. And, I enjoy watching the childrens' delight when their silver dollar pancakes arrive.

Not every one in Great Neck eats only bagels with lox and cream cheese. We enjoy a wide variety of foods near our home. Prices are reasonable and the service is good.
