“No running water and treated poorly by management”

Arrived for an overnight birthday celebration with my family and some friends. The pool was great, lifeguards on duty until 5pm but the pool closed at 6pm which we thoughts was unusual but we were able to get our swimming in and it was fun.

AND THEN, a water main burst just as we were leaving the pool area to go back to the room. The pool attendant advised us not to use the elevator because there was water in the elevator shaft. (no sign indicated to not use elevator) but we walked up 6 floors to stay safe. We were told the water problem would be taken care of within an hour. As 3 hours passed and we were still without the use of a toilet.

The front desk stopped answering the phone, so I walked to the front desk only to be told they would not refund our night stay. The night manager was nasty! He come right out and said "we are not refunding your money!" His tone was very abrasive, other guests as well as myself were very taking back by his demeanor. If he would have only used a bit more tact in his communication to the guests, it would have gone a long way.

Having no use of a toilet or running water all night (think that is against the law?)
and having to leave with 5 children in that frigid cold last night was awful. We were offered a 50% discount on our two rooms. (which I was willing to accept just to get home at 10:30 at night)
As we were leaving, there was a terrible gas smell and there was water dripping from the ceiling in the main lobby area. We advised the manager about this on our way out but he didn't appear concerned at all. Thanks for the 50% off but no thanks. Will be requesting a full refund. We will make sure others know how the guests were treated.

Rooms need updating, bathroom doors all scratched up. Very dated. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

We had three days Niagara-Washington DC tour by TakeTours.com last October and operator made reservation for us at this hotel.We found this hotel very comfortable and visitors friendly. It was clean with well maintained baths, beds were excellent. Main attractions are very nearby. We surely would like to recommend it for travelers with tour or on their own.

my niagara visit was pleasant primary reason was stay at byblos resort only location is little far from niagara it on the way to boston , but comfortable stay and nice hotel to relax . rooms are quite big.

In all the years that I have organized hotel room stays for various groups and teams, I have never dealt with a more responsive and accommodating person than Marnie who is the Senior Sales Manager at this location...top notch!

When we arrived at the hotel and asked if we could upgrade, they were having computer issues which took about 20 minutes to resolve in order for us to check in. The front desk woman was very helpful, friendly, apologetic and provided us with a free upgrade to the executive floor with a nice view of the river for the inconvenience.

Unfortunately at 4am, our neighbours were playing their music. After several attempts at contacting the front desk, our call was finally answered. When we related that we had been trying to contact them for 10 min in order to tell them about our neighbours music which was keeping us up, we were offered no apology only "Ya I was delivering receipts. We'll look into the matter". Honestly, it sounded as if I had awoken the front desk woman from a nap! The issue was resolved fairly quickly and the music was turned off. But then again at 7am, we were woken up by "sounds" coming from our neighbours. We discovered that it was the adjoining door that had no soundproofing what-so-ever.

Upon checkout, we were not asked how our stay was. I relayed our story to the gentleman who checked us out along with the recommendation that parties that are not traveling together should not be put into rooms with adjoining doors. He assured us he would speak to the general manager about our comments, whether he did or not, I'm not sure.

Overall, I really feel like this hotel is missing a huge opportunity here. The location is pretty convenient and the drive along the river is beautiful. Customer Service was wonderful at check in, but overall we were not pleased during the duration of our stay. The rooms need a bit of work; room could have used a paint job, the drain in the shower ran slow, there was no fan in our bathroom, and the heater was clicking like a clock all night.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the river. The view is lovely.

We, couple, stay in this hotel when visiting Niagara Falls. The rooms are big, even for couple, I think it's big enough for 4 person. Clean. And the toiletries n amenities are great. Just like 5 stars hotel. The location are quiet, good choice for take a rest and relax. They also had kid playground in 1st floor. Eventhou the location little far from Niagara. Not easy to get there if you don't bring a car or arrange by tour agent.

Pros: The staff was very friendly. River facing room has a great view. Location was great for driving to both Niagra Falls and downtown Buffalo.

Cons: The rooms were noisy with uncomfortable beds and there was no complimentary breakfast. Also, there was no refrigerator and only one ice machine on a different floor.
