Lets start out by saying this is not a Darien Lake or a Canada's Wonderland. If you expect the extreme rides from those 2 parks, then don't go to Fantasy Island. It is not a place to take your teens - smaller kids will love the place.
For the price point, it is well worth the money - we bought tickets at $17.99 each from the Duty Free as we crossed the border into NY state. Compare this to the more expensive Darien Lake (or much more expensive Canadas Wonderland) and you still get great value for your money.
We visited on the Classic Car show Sunday on August 19th. There must have been over 2,000 classic cars from across the USA & Canada. We were not aware of the classic car show on that day, but it was a very pleasant surprise and amazing to look at. As a result of the sheer number of cars, we were allowed to roam throughout the park in areas which were normally closed to the general public.
Even with the sheer number of people who brought in cars for the weekend, the park didn't seem overly crowded, and we didn't have to line up for rides for very long. The antique cars were probably the longest wait at approx. 10-15 minutes.
The park is closed on Mondays, and doesn't open until 11:30 which was quite surprising - as we had to kill time (stayed at the KOA beside) before we could enter the park.
The wild west show was great, as was the show in the Saloon.
