“Fast Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

Well my husband and I were in the area for the Eastern States 200 race and this was the only hotel that had rooms. It was very nice for what time we had. Got in after mid and up by 7am Sunday. Nice breakfast, clean rooms and friendly staff. We will stay here again!

stayed here one night as a getaway to nowhere, we needed it. check in was a breeze, the young lady at the front desk was very friendly. we checked into 221, a king size bed with a jacuzzi tub. everything looked good, then we noticed a few things. the ceiling/paint above the jacuzzi was peeling in spots. i also noticed a used bar of soap left by the tub, that made me wonder about the quality of the housekeeping. pulled the bed apart to examine it, and was relieved to find that everything looked good. yes, the bedding may have a dated look, but again it was clean and very comfortable. the bed had to be the most comfortable hotel bed i've ever slept in, neither one of us wanted to get up for work in the morning.
the free breakfast (waffles, sausage, etc) was just perfect for a morning bite to eat. the only complaint i can thing of is that the regular flavored batter was out, had to try the cinnamon flavor. luckily, that was good. all in all, it was a very relaxing night. we would stay there again. the location off of 17 was very convenient, getting back on the highway was a breeze. at checkout we told the young man at the front desk about our few concerns with our room, and he responded to them appropriately. i'd have no problem suggesting this hotel to anyone who needed to stay in the area.

Found the front desk staff - Rebecca - friendly, accommodating and with a great sense of humor. Rooms were fine: clean (no stains on carpet or furniture) although agree with previous reviews that bed linens need to be updated.
Good value for the money - breakfast met everyone's expectations, connected to wireless without any issue, enjoyed the large bowl of fresh fruit at the front desk.
Would return and would recommend.

My wife and I stayed here one night, as part of a wedding party that happened to book 25 rooms. Usual check-in is 3PM, and we arrived from out of town at about 1:30PM. It would have been nice if the motel had at least some of the 25 rooms cleaned and ready for those who had to clean up and dress for the wedding, but the desk clerks made it clear that the rooms would not be ready until 3PM. A little later, and with a little wrangling by the bride's mother, a room was finally ready for us, at about 2:30PM. Is it wrong to expect that when you block 25 rooms for a wedding that some of the rooms would be ready a little earlier than usual? Being from out of town, and having a friend that lives in Goshen, I called her to say we were in town. She offered to visit for a few minutes, and showed up with her little Yorkie mix. No sooner did she get out of her car with the dog, in the parking lot, a staff member came to tell her that this is NOT a pet friendly hotel, and she could not enter the building with the dog. My friend assured him that she only came to say hello, and we went for a brief walk around the premises. Ten minutes later, the desk clerk came out to us and said that she could not stay on the premises with the dog, that there was a fine for doing so, and that she'd have to leave, which she promptly did, because he threatened to call the State Police. We saw no sign at the entrance that the clerk had referred to regarding no pets on the premises. The point here is that she was not a guest, but I was, and we were both rudely admonished. There are a million other ways to say that the dog could not stay. The staff was just plain rude! The motel is undergoing renovations, and the lobby is a bit of a mess. The room was satisfactory, and breakfast was average. Make sure you use cooking spray on the waffle maker or the attendant will publicly lash out at you! I think that staff and management could use a course in Public Relations.

Room Tip: Don't expect to be treated as if you mean anything to staff members..

Not as bad as some reviews, but not without problems. Rooms clean, beds comfortable. Pillows and A/C terrible. Seemed as if they had a leak of some sort and the ceiling in the lobby was torn down. Cracked and missing tiles in breakfast area. Carpeting in our room worn and stained, looked as if a pen broke and ink stained the rug. Furniture worn, dresser holding TV laughably assembled wrong-my 14 year old could have put it together better. TV remote worst I have ever encountered in a hotel. Couldn't put channel number into remote and get channel, needed to just scroll up and down to find station. Each station had to load before you could change channel. Switched remote at front desk, same exact problem. No common areas to socialize. We were a fairly large group staying for a weekend. Breakfast area and front lobby were off limits. No outdoor areas to gather (pool area also off limits). Adequate for a night or two.

Stayed two nights for shopping at Woodbury outlets. It was a bit far and i would stay closer next time.

They were filming a movie in the lobby both nights so had to climb stairs at rear entrance. Second night a movie spotlight caused a fire just after midnight, everyone evacuated to outside for 2 hours.

Hotel manager comped us a night for the problems.

After reading the last few comments from previous guests, I am extremely confused and shocked at the experiences they claim to have had here,,,,My stay was completley different, almost as if I was in a different hotel. The front desk staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was fantasic - to the point that I was upgraded for free to a suite after I had accidently booked just a single room and I needed an extra bed for my sister who decided to spend the night with me while I was in town visiting my family. The housekeepers do an excellant job of cleaning the rooms -even if the furniture & bedding is slightly worn & outdated, it is CLEAN which is most important! I personally witnessed another hotel guest spill coffee ALL OVER the floor and into the elevator and left a trail to his room - not even caring about the mess he left behind and it was the front desk MANAGER that ran right over to mop it all up. As in most of the hotels I stay in, it is more often the GUESTS that ruin my experience and give the hotel a bad name- Not the Hotel itself, I recomend this hotel to ALL my family members every time they come into town to visit and we will ALWAYS use this hotel due to the positive experiences the hotel itself has given us. As we say in the restaurant business... you can't please EVERYONE because some people are just complainers but 95% of the time, you can. Your best bet is to try this hotel & see for yourself what a great affordable place it is!
