“Fantastic camp site and lovely people”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

We stayed here for 4 nights 8th-12th sept, It was a fantatsic 4 days the people are so lovely and very welcoming, even the kids are really nice and polite. This site is brilliant, it has a park for the kids, a shop, the toilets and shower blocks are spotless and wel maintained as is the laundry room, which has a couple of washers and dryers as well as half a dozen sinks to wash up. It is well kept site clean and tidy and well marked out pitches for tents, and also has benches and tables jotted about for you to use if you need to. This is run by a group of lovely people who have permenant tents that are erect through out the summer and they have some brilliant events going on and the weekend we stayed they had a feast of the lights competition going on in which they all decorated their tents in lights etc this yrs theme was fun at the fair. they asked me and my partner if we would judge it, and what fun we had, the things they did were amazing, from hook a duck which they even had bags of water hung up with fish in and they had actually cut fish shapes out of carrots haha they made ghoast trains which scared the heck out of me when the kids jumped out, lol there was tin can alley and mystic meg which looked fantatsic all mystical and romantic with all the candles, we were even invited to the after party which was held in what was called the wet room, this is a big room they have to hold events when it rains. Absolutely brilliant! I can not praise this campaite enough I love it and will definitly be going back, forgot to mention the lovely views across the thames and some of the local pubs that were just a walk away all which were lovely. this is a defo must return. so i will hopefully see you all next yr.

We visited Laleham for a family function and chose to stay here rather than a hotel. The reception staff were very friendly and show you to your pitch and will offer assistance if you need any to move your caravans etc. The shower and toilet block was very clean. The shop opens a few times a day with a tannoy announcement to let you know. The River Thames is accross the road which makes a lovely walk.
The site itself is fantastic for children. It is completly secure with gated access and exits and having no cars on pitches means that there are rarely cars driving around posing risks to children.
Excellent site and would definately reccommend it to my friends!
