“You will quickly become a regular at the Rock Hill Bakery!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2012

What can I say...clearly the best bread in the region! Do not miss an opportunity to stop into Rock Hill for fresh baked bread, cookies, scones, sandwiches, and great coffee too.

“Excellent cookies and rye bread. First visit was fanstastic.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2012

We were drawn to the bakery after the New York Times' former food critic just wrote that the best Jewish Rye bread in the world is found here. The loaf we bought was excellent even though it was two-days old by the time we got home to enjoy it. It's got a thick, chewy crust and full rye-caraway flavor. Our loaf was a little dense and too small to use for a sandwich (I'd love to put our home cured corned beef on it!). The real surprise was the giant, thick cookies. We bought three and enjoyed them all. The highlight was the oatmeal raisin. It had a moist, loose crumb, large, plump raisins and contained the perfect amount of salt. It was a perfect treat to eat later at Saratoga.

We took all food to go, but it appears to be a very cozy coffee house and even had live music on a Saturday morning, played at an appropriate volume. We look forward to returning and trying their soups, especially the Vietnamese Beef which sounds wonderful.

Check facebook for their specials. There's not much of a website.

“My Go To Place In The Morning”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2012

I love Rock Hill Bakery - I am in Glens Falls a couple times a month and like to stop here. Good music, a buzz about the place, friendly people work there and really good coffee. This past time I couldn't have regular coffee due to some water advisory - so everything had to be boiled first, so I had espresso, which due to the extreme heat of espresso was allowed - and it was fine. So the servers found a solution for a coffee addict! This is a good place, good choice for non-national chain seekers.

Just a great bakery to get quality bread. We depend on them being there. Real crusty, tasty assortments--from olive bread to sourdough bread. The local Chronicle newspaper frequently has a discount coupon.

“Great Bread”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2012

Nearly all of their breads are Great and the rest are good or very good. However, their prices are at my limit or beyond what I want to spend for bread. Disappointingly, recently they seem to be cutting back on the good stuff, like less cheese in the Jalapeno Cheddar cheese bread. Why mess with a great product?
