We are delighted you gave us a 5 star rating on Trip Advisor and thank you for your glowing review. How fantsastic to hear you describe Bomani as the ‘most amazing place in the world’. It is clear you enjoyed your stay immensely, and love it there as much as we do. With its remote and secluded location, large herds of elephant, wide variety of game and birdlife and friendly and knowledgeable staff... its an easy place to love!

We hope you decide to visit us again in the near future.

On behalf of Imvelo Safari Lodges and Bomani, thank you once again!

Dear Diego416,

Thank you for your review and we are delighted to hear about your friend’s engagement at Bomani! Nestled in a remote and untouched corner on the edge of Hwange National Park, with the hum of the African bush and the sounds of the elephant splashing softly in the water hole nearby – a perfect setting for a romantic proposal! Please pass on our congratulations to your friend... perhaps he and his soon-to-be wife will consider returning to this magical place for their honeymoon!

Thank you for your ongoing support of Bomani and we look forward to seeing your group again next year.

Warm wishes from the Imvelo team!

I recently spent a week at Bomani Tented Lodge with my girlfriend.
After having traveled Africa comprehensively, and indeed having worked in the wildlife industry, i was taken by complete surprise at Bomani.
We were treated to the top tier African Luxury Safari Tent accommodation as a start. Then we experienced excellent cuisine, impeccable guiding, a beautiful and remote (Hwange) National Park full of animals and superb service at every turn. Nothing was impossible or too much for the staff and management (one of Zimbabwe's most experienced Professional Hunters come naturalists).
The nightly rate was excellent value in comparison.
Please put Bomani on your itinerary and say hello to camp boss Big Boy for me when you arrive.
Jerome

Hi Jerome,

Thank you for your glowing review! We are so glad that you were impressed with all that was on offer at the lodge, particularly with our guides and the cusine. Our hiring criteria for guides is very strict as we like to maintain an exceptionally high standard. All the kitchen staff and Big Boy work tirelessly to ensure every client need and expectation is met, I will pass on your compliments which I’m sure will make their day.

The idea behind our remote location was to provide clients with a true African experience, there are few things better than watching the Elephants around our watering hole with the sun dipping below the horizon in the background.

We have many exciting new developments taking place at our lodges so if you would like to keep up to date on these happenings please look for us on Facebook (Imvelo Safari Lodges). You can follow us too, and that way be sure to know about any upcoming specials in the future!

Thanks again for staying with us, and for taking the time to write this review. We hope to see you again in the future.

The accommodations at Bumani are exceptional, the large secure tents with en suite bathrooms are more canvas chalets then tents. Positioned on stilits the views out over the surrounding plains and waterholes are impressive as is the wildlife. Large herds of elephant drink at the camp each evening and lions could be heard regularly. Unlike other parts of Hwange this area is not overpopulated with lodges and camps so it is rare to see vehicles from other venues. The staff and service at Bomani was very good and we were looked after extremely well by BigBoy and the team.

Such local community involvement is not something you see regularly in Africa and it is a tribute to Mark and his team to see such a successful relationship. When you visit the schools and villages you realise the direct benefits to the local population through your stay in the camp. It makes you question how much direct action and investment into local communities the bigger national and international safari corporations make??

If you are visiting this part of Zimbabwe then you will not find a more comfortable bush expereince. You will also leave knowing the money you have spent will make a difference.

Room Tip: They are all good and recently some of the rooms have been beutifully refurbished. Personally I pre...

Dear Nicholas V,

As you noticed, our community work is very near and dear to our hearts. We aim to look after the land and the people which is why we hire as many staff from the local villages as possible and why we are working so hard to build the schools up. We’re currently running a free Mobile Dentist Safari for the people in the areas around Hwange and Victoria Falls. These are people who otherwise would not have access to or could not afford the treatment. You can follow Imvelo Safari Lodges on facebook if you would like more information.

Bomani is extremely unpolluted due to its location and we aim to keep it that way. It is also very wild which provides clients with a true African experience. We are all thrilled you had such a lovely experience at Bomani. We hope to see you again in the future!

Thank you for your lovely review of our lodge, we are so glad you liked it as much as we do!

What a lovely experience. Wonderful camp with great tented accommodation We expected a small tent on stilts and were pleasantly surprised. The tent was huge with queen/king sized bed and bathroom en suite! The staff were very friendly and helpful .
There is a Waterhole right beside the camp where many elephants and other game came to during the evenings and night.
Never seen so many elephants together before as we saw at one pan!! Must have seen 600 plus in a few hours..
Will go back there for sure.

What an intimate wildlife experience. This place is special. The tents are huge, bigger than my room at home!
After a long stay In the falls we were a bit worried our stay in the bush in a tent might be roughing it. Wow were we wrong. The tents were amazing, with tiled floors and a proper bathroom. When compared to the rest, Bomani puts you right up close and in the bush with nature. The elephants came up and drank at the waterhole while we sat by the campfire only 40meters away. Food was superb and the staff were brilliant. Our rooms were kept clean, laundry done quickly and we even got coffee on our verander before our morning game drives.
Our guide Mark was full of knowledge and he eagerly answered our questions, no matter how silly they were. An amazing experience in an amazing place.

I've worked in Zimbabwe for the past two years and I'm always looking for a place that combines a great adventure with a good partnership with surrounding communities. Bomani Tented Camp exceeded my expectations in every way!

Mark was an exceptional guide - a true walking, talking encyclopedia about Hwange's environment! The staff were wonderful and pleasant - Big Boy's kindness was as big as his smile! The views around the park are stunning and we loved watchign elephants come up to the watering hole in camp for a drink at night.

Bomani Tented Camp had all the touches that you expect from a luxury safari lodge (ie: a sugar encrusted welcome drink, candelit dinnters, campfire, impeccably clean, catering to each guests' individual needs and wants). Bomani was without a doubt the best at catering to a variety of dietary requirements (no pork, vegetarian, and halaal) all in one group - a first for us in Zimbabwe!

The safari tents were luxurious, large (beds and a lounging area), clean, and very comfortable. We had tea delivered at sunrise every day. We loved hearing lions and elephants at night as well!

In addition to the wonderful game views, we also got to see Mark's passion towards working with local communities to see that they also benefit from wildlife operations (employees from the local community, proceeds going to build schools, etc). My parents' truly loved the visit to the village!

My parents were visiting Africa for the first time, and they couldn't stop talking about how wonderful Bomani was. I truly recomend it to anyone looking for an adventure and a wonderful time that is a little off the beaten path (1.5 - 2 hours off the tar road, but they drive you there from Halfway house).

Room Tip: We stayed at tent #3 by the watering hole. Great way to see the wildlife. If you're skittish a...
