“Could be better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2010

We've stayed at this property a few times because our child is a student at the University at Buffalo. Our first night, when turning down the bed, I found what appeared to be a band-aid that had stuck to the sheets! Housekeeping is not the best at this hotel. Our last visit also required our calling the front desk for clean sheets as well. The next morning the bathroom above our room flooded ours and we had to change rooms. A total inconvenience, but the front desk was fairly quick to act. The room rates at this property are lower than most in the area, however, their housekeeping needs some attention to detail.

The price isn't too bad for this hotel, however I would have rather paid a litle more to get a nicer hotel. The hotel is a non-smoking - yea - however our room still smelled "weird". The bed covering on one of our beds had 2 holes in it (each the size of your finger). The bathroom was YUCKY! The toilet needed major cleaning!!! If we weren't checking in late & leaving early I probably would have called to have someone come back & clean it. The rooms are dark. The lobby & surrounding area looked so nice, I was suprised about the room!! There was supposed to be wifi, however I could never get my computer signed on to it. (We went to a Starbucks a few miles down the road). The breakfast was "ok" -- they had dishes instead of plastic - however there was basic - no hot food (other than the normal waffles). I guess I would say it depends on how much you pay to stay here & how long your staying whether it is "worth it" or not.

My buddy and I stayed at this Ramada Inn on our way to see DMB in Pittsburgh. The location was conviently located within proxmity to the University of Buffalo, which was an amazing campus in the still of the night. Our stay was not a pleasant night's sleep to say the least. We found the A/C in our room to not be functioning and our room was located by the elevator. We would reccommend booking far in advance to avoid a lousy room location. The Contential Breakfast was very nice for the price and we enjoyed the French Toast! The staff seemed a little rude upon check as we asked to speak with the manager

When we arrived at the hotel, the front doors were not automatic. Not only making it difficult for a wheelchair user but also bringing our luggage in. We booked a wheelchair accessible room with a roll-in shower. What we got was a very small room with very little space to move around. In a wheelchair, I was only able to move in one direction, either forward or backward. The 'roll-in' shower had a 3 inch step into the shower. The room was old and dull, looked more like a hospital room. We tried discussing the ADA issue with management but he was not understanding at all. Our 5 night stay ended up to be one night.

We stayed here with a sports team for 2 nights. The location was convenient to our tournament and breakfasts were good with convenient hours. The staff was very poorly trained. Our group had issues with dirty sheets, poor air conditioning (noisy, kept turning off, musty odors and allergic reactions) and noisy neighbors. The staff was rude and un-responsive about dealing with these issues. Our group was thinking about staying here again for another nearby tournament but we decided to avoid the place.

stayed at hotel to attend a wedding and can hear people in next room & everytime another room flushed toilet or used bathroom sink i heard it from my bathroom. headboards were dusty & next morning i awoke early & took my belongings out to the car. went for breakfast & when i returned 2 housekeepers were in my room drinking coffee. they said i was checking out that day, mind you its 9:11 am and check out is at noon. housekeeping did take the pack of cigs i had on table and my toothbrush had pink on it from whatever spray they used. they thought rm was empty because no luggage was seen and yet i had tv on and 2 items still in room. decided to fortake my morning shower and leave hotel immediately for fear of housekeepers re-entering room i was in. if it wasnt for housekeeping i would have thoroughly enjoyed my visit, breakfast was excellent and night guy at desk {6/25}was only staff member in the entire hotel that said hello as i passed by to go outside for a smoke. would be nice to have benches outside for the smokers. tv in the fitness rm was a plus

My family recently stayed at this hotel and really enjoyed our stay. This is a charming hotel in an ideal location. Really close to everything in the area, yet not located on a busy, noisy highway. The rooms were reasonably priced with a great complimentary continental breakfast. I didn't realize that they had a day spa, so some of us treated ourselves to a manicure and pedicure. I was thinking of bringing some of my friends the next time we are in the area for a girls' weekend, and even do a bit of shopping at the nearby shopping malls.
