“Don't bother...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2012

Frankly, the Ramada in Amherst sucks. The walls are paper thin such that you can hear EVERYTHING through them. The internet is awful to non-existent. The front desk staff really don't appear to care whether or not your stay is a decent one. The lone saving grace of this place is the janitorial crew who seem to be not only very professional, but also friendly. I assure you, I won't EVER be staying at this hotel again.

Ramada took over this place which used to be the University Inn. The decor has not changed since I had hair, wore tie-dye and bell bottom jeans.

Cons - Free Internet kept crashing.

The bar is small but accomadating and the restaraunt, surprisingly, had excellent food other than the typical serve your self breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Good government rates and adjacent to the north campus of UB.

In Amherst for a football combine at University of Buffalo. Hotel is very close by but gives the feeling you are at a resort. It is off the beaten path and extremely peaceful. Rooms are clean and comfortable (2 queen beds). Staff bends over backwards with a smile. Carpets and wallpaper can use sprucing up. No pool and continental breakfast just ok. Other then that and with the rate we received, no complaints. Will stay there again.

Reached late night at the hotel, but a clean, good size room with all the amenities what you need to have a comfortable stay meant for a night only. Not very far away from the Niagara falls, but not very near also.
Its well within reach of the main 209 highway. Lots of parking lots, Good greenery and bright colour of furnishing in the hotel.

Room Tip: You are in Niagara but reasonable rates since you are not near to the falls.

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend and I was very impressed by the professionalism of the staff. From the front desk staff to the waiters in the restaurant, they couldn't have been friendlier. We enjoyed a great dinner in the restaurant where they had a wonderful duo playing music. The room was clean and comfortable, it was spacious and was all we needed for the weekend. The walls were a little thin but it didn't disturb us much. The breakfast the next day was a nice touch, they had waffles as well as delicious pastries and bagels. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed for one night and will return. We come to Buffalo about once a month and have had mixed impressions of some of the area motels we have used. The Ramada was excellent. North of the UB campus in a quiet area with trees. It is a little isolated so you can't walk to restaurants, etc.

This hotel is a dump!!! I stayed here a few weeks in a suit. Our bed had a ripped comforter and ripped carpet. GROSS!!! Also, the housekeeping sucks. The did not give us new toels. We called the front desck. It took them 45 min to get towels. The shower had ONLY COLD WATER!! Don't use the elevators!! We almost got stuck in one of them! The BREAKFEST is like throw up. You can not stay here. I am staying at another hotel. Also, the room smelled like smoke, even though it was non smoking. The hotels lied with a new renovation. The renovation was in the 1980's.

DO NOT STAY HERE
