Took my son and his family to Ichiro Japanese Restaurant, here in Geneva, NY. It had only been
open a week or so. My son chose it to try, as he's had hibachi style meals before. We had a reservation for 7 of us and were seated at a "U" shaped table with the hibachi grill in the middle.
Unfortunately, I have Celiac Disease and couldn't partake of the food cooked on the grill. However, they do have Gluten Free offerings from the kitchen. I enjoyed a teriyaki grilled
salmon that was delicious. Served with an appetizer of clear soup, a small house salad with a
delicious ginger dressing. The salmon was accompanied by some steamed vegetables and a
bowl of rice. Those enjoying the Hibachi grill had swordfish, steak, chicken, and pork. The
chef put on his show with the flipping of his spatula and fork and his cooking the large pile
of rice and vegetables, along with a small onion "volcano". Every ones food was delicious and
we had no complaints. It is a little pricey, but I feel well worth the expense. They surprised my
son with a deep fried ice cream. He said it was like a green tea ice cream in a tempura batter.
He ate it, so I assume it was good.
Will go here again soon. Great place to go as a family or with friends.
