Where do I start???
Housekeeping: Never in my life have I ever had such a terrible experience with housekeeping at ANY hotel EVER. In most normal places when you have a "do not disturb" sign on the front of the door, it means DO NOT DISTURB, SLEEPING, PRIVACY PLEASE, etc etc. Well the first day here and I had a housekeeper slamming on my door. Not only do they slam on the door while the sign is up but they also yell at the top of their lungs "HOUSEKEEPING" Well thanks, there goes my sleeping toddler. I kindly answered the door and told her that we didnt need anything today and that we were all set and she said "I have to come in once a day". I explained to her that my children were down for their nap and that we didnt need anything. She again argued and said that she had to change the bed sheets once a day and clean the bathroom & vacuum the entire room. Are you kidding me??? You mean to tell me I have to wake my children so you can change their bed linen and vacuum. We are a clean family and had only been here one night. We have no pets here and the place was spotless yet she insisted. Im sorry, but even at home I dont even change my sheets once a day. Im sorry but what is the point of the "do not disturb" sign that you offer if you arent even going to oblige by it. Every single day after that it was the same old thing, slamming on the door while the sign was up. I was in the bathroom the second day and heard the knocking. I quickly hurried but as I was walking out of the bathroom she had already let herself into my room. RUDE MUCH?? Way to make my daughter feel uncomfortable with a stranger just walking in. Must be they get paid by the room or something HAHA
Im pregnant. After the first day (where housekeeping came in and sprayed bleach all over the bathroom to clean) I kindly asked that they not use the bleach because I had to stay there all day and breath in the fumes (no ventilation & a window that doesnt stay open) She agreed. Next thing I know I can hear the spray bottle going crazy and then came the fumes. Its like she didnt even listen to a word I said. I complained to the front desk about the room service issues and they basically told me that they have to be allowed in the room every single day no matter what and that was their policy. Had I known I would have never stayed here. I dont need the housekeepers nosing around my room every single day especially when I am stuck here with no place to go. I enjoy my privacy, and when you stay here you basically have NONE! We had a lot of personal belongings there and they offer no safes in the room. The website says that if you have any personal items you need to drop them at the safe deposit at the front desk and that if anything comes up missing during the day they are not responsible. How is it that they can hire ppl to clean the rooms yet they are not responsible if anything comes up missing. I have more then just a couple small valuable priced things. There is no way I would be able to pack up everything that is important to me and just drop it off at the front desk. First of all there way to much and they wouldnt have enough room, and second, what makes me think I can trust the people at the front desk. We have to live here until housing becomes available. I guess I will have to stay here 24 hours a day to make sure the nosy housekeeper doesnt walk away with any of my belongings. I feel like if we are paying to stay here we ought to be able to have some privacy.
Internet: What a joke! Dont bother trying to access their "free wifi" It is worse then dial up!!!! I mean so slow that you would get something done faster by driving downtown to the local McDonalds, parking, using their free wifi and coming back here and it would all be done before the first page loads.
Cell Service: Apparently we are in the middle of nowhere at this hotel and cell service is about just the same as the wifi. You have to stand by a window for good reception.
Location: Well like I mentioned above, its in the middle of nowhere. So dont expect to be able to walk to the shoppette, px or commissary. Walk outside and you see woods, trees and a long road.
Bathroom: Bathroom is ok, but the shower head is horrible. If any women out there have hair the goes past their earlobes GOOD LUCK. HAH. Unless you want to look like a grease Monkey all day everyday. The shower head pressure is so bad that my 6 year old's Barbie Beauty Toy has better water pressure. Its literally a tiny little drizzle and feels like someone is wringing out a wet cloth over your head. I have long hair to my chest and its thick and curly. Basically I have to live with loads of shampoo caked into my hair because the water pressure is so useless.
Room size is great. I am pleased with the large room, beds are good as well. I dont usually EVER complain about places, and this is the first review I have ever done on any hotel Ive ever stayed at. It was just that bad that I felt I needed to warn people. Im not a picky person. I know my review can make me look a little high maintenance but its not like that at all. It usually doesnt take much to please me. If you are just looking to spend just a couple days here then by all means GO FOR IT. The price is great for that and you get free breakfast as well. But if you are having to live here due to PCS and waiting for housing please do yourself a favor and go to a real hotel just off post. You will get better treatment and way more privacy. TRUST ME.
So glad IM OUT OF THERE :)
Go to a hotel right off post!!
