“Craving My Return!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2014

Had dinner at Portabello's on the 15th of February with my husband and what a delightful experience we had. They had a jazz trio playing for the evening which was an added bonus. We were welcomed at the door by Debbie who we found out later was one of the owner and such a nice person. Elizabeth was our server and she was outstanding. For such a busy night and she being the only server we could see, the service was flawless. We were amazed by some of the items we saw on the menu, it was hard to make a decision. We finally decided on the shrimp sambuca for an appetizer, I had the veal margarita, and my husband had the tuna absolutely delicious! We capped the evening off with the flourless chocolate cake and red velvet cupcakes, along with 2 complimentary glasses of champagne to toast valentines weekend, Amazing!. At the end Elizabeth brought us our bill along with the most beautiful long stem rose I've ever received. Whatever this restaurant is doing they need to keep it up. We have been looking in the area for a house since the fall and have tried the other restaurants that in the area and we have finally found the only restaurant we will go back to. They are so personable and the food is to die for. Already craving my return! Thanks Again!

“STAY AWAY”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2014

We visited this restaurant on our trip to Cooperstown NY. It is overpriced and the food was not edible. Service was not any better. What a shame. It is in such a beautiful part of NY. This place could be a gold mine if it was run properly. Fly Creek is beautiful with all the historic houses.

“Wow, whatta nice way to celebrate our anniversary!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

We dined last night and were totally happy with our meal and great service...again! The flat-bread pulled pork pizza appetizer was fantastic...I enjoyed the dick special with peaches and blueberries and she thoroughly enjoyed the veal and shrimp with Dijon sauce...very nice! Thanks - we will be back!

“Great food”

The pastas are great. I had the exotic mushrooms and chicken pasta. The Sauce was rich and thick. Reasonable prices for food and drinks!
