“Great night stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

Got held over on a flight and had never heard of this hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Clean rooms, well appointed. Great hotel restaurant and little shop next door for all my convenience essentials. I'd definitely stay here again!

We stayed one night at the Marco. When we arrived, we were immediately told we had been given an upgrade to a two bedroom suite. It was a lovely surprise and we were very grateful. The suite was great with living area, nice-sized kitchen, two generous double bedrooms (both with full sized TVs and a large bathroom with Jacuzzi and separate shower.
We ate in the adjoining Magna restaurant which was very good; food was great and service was friendly. Also, unusually for American hotels, breakfast was included in the price of our room.
The only drawback with this hotel is that it is not in the middle of the city, although some may think this an advantage. We stayed the night between flights into JFK and out of La Guardia so can't comment on the journey from the hotel to the city.
All in all, a good decision and we may well be back.

Chose based on reviews and it was as expected. Service efficient and friendly. Free shuttle to and from La Guardia. If flying in from overseas into La Guardia, will need to get change from change machine to call hotel for pickup if you don't have a mobile. The free phones are only for hotels in the airport area itself. Free breakfast if booked via its web site and free wi fi. Breakfast had a good hot and cold selection. Room clean.

With a free shuttle to/from the airport and in my case, the driver also was the Concierge, gave a pretty good tour on the way to the hotel. I utilized the Subway/Metro while staying there and the Flushing/Main St stop is 2 blocks away so it was very convenient. Free breakfast if you book through the hotel website which I did and it was a nice hot buffet. Everything was very clean and well kept. NYC food inspector even came in during one of my breakfast visits. The breakfast location is also the Italian restaurant which is well known in the area. With an Italian family owned hotel,it only makes sense to have a restaurant that is Italian!
I had an issue one morning with the bathroom light not working and called the front desk for maintenance. The guy arrived within minutes, changed the fluorescent lights but that didn't solve the problem. He ended up replacing the entire ballast but was done within 30 minutes. Microwave and mini fridge were a nice touch, as with the 32" LCD TV, free wifi as well. Truly an enjoyable stay and the place I will return to on my next NYC trip!

I travel often on business and have stayed here many times. The hotel is very nice, rooms are spacious and clean. The customer service here is awesome! The front desk staff is always helpful and pleasant. The go out of their way to help me whenever I stay there or call for any reason. The restaurant, Magna, is very special. It is so convenient, the food is delicious, especially their daily specials, and the staff there are so nice! Prices are very reasonable too! Whenever my work takes me to this area, I always stay at the Marco Hotel. I highly recommend it!

Based on TripAdvisor reviews, we recently chose to book three separate reservations over a two-week period at the Marco La Guardia Hotel. We flew into La Guardia from Oregon and arrived late at night at the Marco Hotel. Even though it was close to midnight, staff helped us locate a great Chinese restaurant that delivered our dinner to our door. The staff down in the restaurant/bar also helped orient us to the area as we had a beer even though it was close to their closing time. We then traveled by subway and train to upstate New York, returned to the Marco, left for Jamaica via JFK airport, returned to the Marco, then flew out of La Guardia to return to Oregon. From our first arrival to our last, we were welcomed warmly by the hotel staff who eagerly saw to all our needs. By our last visit we were warmly welcomed by Karla at the front desk (who was still in training!) who knew our names without looking them up. Both Claribel and Ericka also bent over backwards to acommodate all our requests. We really had a home-away-from-home experience staying in the very comfortable and quiet rooms of the Marco, and enjoying their morning hot breakfasts. When we travel to New York in the future, this will be the place we'll stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the back, away from the street.

Hotel is clean and welcoming. Staff was very polite and helpful. Room was spacious and clean with plenty of towels. Restaurant has really good food with fresh ingredients.Free breakfast was a great plus and the restaurant staff was just as polite and helpful as the hotel staff.Saw some pilots eating here.Free shuttle to LaGuardia was a nice extra too.

Room Tip: Had a room with twin beds on 4th floor. It was spacious and quiet.
