“Fabulous weekend at Breezy Hill Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2009

My wife and I had a fabulous time during our weekend stay at this beautifully restored bed and breakfast.. Our room was charming and well appointed. The owners were lovely, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, especially the home baked muffins and crepes. We will be back!

We recently stayed at Breezy Hill Inn. We had read some positive reviews about the Inn so we decided to give it a try. We were quite disappointed. The rooms are tiny, to say the least. The bathroom barely has room for 1 person. The TV also was tiny as well. We thought the rooms were not very clean.

We have been to a number of B&B's and have had amazing food. With regards to breakfast, we found the portions very small and lacking in terms of variety. Both days we were forced to eat elsewhere after breakfast. We would recommend eating at Peakamoose for dinner however.

We also found the owners to be unfriendly and lacking in knowledge about the area.

Overall we would rate this a disappointing experience.

We stayed at the Breezy Hill Inn midweek in August 2009. The Inn is a beautifully restored house and in the late summer, the garden is truly spectacular. However, our room, the orange room, measured no more than 10' by 10' and had no chair, no dresser, and no luggage rack. There was barely room for the double bed and a small cupboard. The flat screen TV was very small and could not be easily viewed from the bed. The small bathroom had a shower, no tub.

Our breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed talking with the innkeeper. And there is a great restaurant, the Peekamoose, about 10 minutes away.

Midweek, the owners live elsewhere and since we were the only guests, we wandered through the empty inn by ourselves, though the innkeeper stopped by to give us the keys and then again in the morning to make breakfast. We did not feel comfortable at this B&B and chose to stay only one night.

We just got back yesterday from our spur of the moment weekend getaway at the Breezy Hill Inn where we had an awesome stay. Michelle and Alan have done a wonderful job of restoring the house (fabulous woodwork) and have added many matching antiques that complete the mood. After a nice breakfast we had a short 5 minute ride to the slopes where we got discounted tickets with the Breezy Hill Inn voucher. Upon our return we took full advantage of the great game room downstairs (maybe add a dart board in the far corner?) and the fitness room as well. A visit to the steam room after a long ski day was exactly what I needed. The house is big enough so we never felt like we were intruding or intruded upon. We'll be back soon and hopefully bring some friends as well.

I agree with the other reviewer that although the breezy inn is absolutely beautiful, and the owners could not be nicer, we probably will not return. To be fair, I am not a big B&B lover - I prefer the anonymity of a hotel if I can find one. We felt at the breezy inn that we were staying in someone's home, but not in a comfortable way. We felt like we should whisper.

That said, if you are a B&B person and staying the in the area it is gorgeous, clean and close to Belleayre.

I had a wonderful stay at the Breezy Hill Inn. The house was newly renovated with beautiful rooms. It was very clean, the grounds were well kept and had great landscaping, and it was quiet and serene with a great view. The hosts were friendly and the breakfast was very tasty.

My husband and I stayed at the Breezy Hill Inn during MLK weekend. The place was packed but we never felt inconvenienced at all. The house is immaculate, new and refreshing. We stayed at the blue room facing the great mountains of Belleayre. The pictures do not do justice, you have to see for yourself. Every thing from sheets, to furnishing was clearly thought out by the owners Michelle and Allan who by the way are very accomodating and welcoming. They helped book a dinner reservation at the Peekamoose, a must in the Catskills whic we rated a 28 for NYC standards. The breakfast was delightful and perfect to start your day. We went skiing which was great since it snowed that week. The BH feels like being in your friend's vacation house with all the trimmings such as the steam room, the game room and a gym that are all in the basement. The room is perfect for two and the bathroom quite intimate. I love everything at the BH and would definitely come back especially to see the garden in the Spring that Allan himself planted. There is also a house in the property for rent that is just as gorgeous as the inn and the whole entire property is just safe and clean. Thanks to the BH for a wonderful weekend getaway that is so close to the city. Can't ask for more....
