I had heard about this place from coworkers and decided to check it out. The food was fresh and delicious. Our waiter was courteous and attentive. The place was a little noisy but the food was great!!!!!

“Love it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Great almost vacation atmosphere. Food is always presented well, and taste great. They started as a little lunchonette type placed a few miles south of present let cation. They soon grew out of old place and found this much bigger place with a nice bar. Popularity brought them a second location further north, and a traveling food truck. If I was closer I would eat there every week.

“Good Fun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2013

Maya Cafe doesn't really need my review because they are always busy, but I just have to give them my recommendation. It's a really fun place with a really good staff and even great food.

“Surprisingly bad”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

I don't have a lot to say about this one actually. It's an out of the way Mexican place. Ok I can start with if you're claustrophobic then this might not be the place for you and if you actually like tequila in your margarita go somewhere else. The only thing worse than the service was the food. Top that off with the loudest and worst mariachi duo you've ever heard and you've got a recipe for an awful evening. Instruments out of tune and not knowing the words to songs and I say again - not enough tequila.

They also seemed to be making the waitress grumpy which I have a few suggestions for but the bottom line is, we didn't hire them but we are hoping you will do your job and do it nicely.

The food is not great, a pathetic portion of rice and beans with each dish. I had the Mexico City style tacos with steak which was just a few chunks of steak in each taco, a little cheese some condiments and a whole lot of tortillas. The little one hated the food (except for the beans and the guacamole which weren't that great.) It was edible but I won't be going back. The only saving grace was the fact that it was edible.

“Wow, a lot of fun, great service, great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

Went here based on good tripadvisor reviews and was very pleased with our dinner. We were four adults and two small children. The service was very good and very attentive. We ordered Carnitas En Salsa Verde (pulled pork in salsa verde), tres tacos (chicken), coco loco chicken, children's chicken quesadillas and Texas Baby Back Ribs. All quite brilliant. We were entertained by Mariachi musicians. Lots of fun. The Margaritas were made from a mix (which we do not like) but these were manageable, not to sweet. GO HERE and HAVE SOME FUN and GREAT FOOD!
