This was a great place to stay - especially for the price. It was clean, quiet and the service was great. The pool was a bit small, but since we were the only ones in it - it was fine! The front desk staff was friendly and the complementary breakfast was better than most. Hot food, plus breads, fruits, cereal, yogurt, juices, and coffee. If we were to visit this area again, we would definitely stay here again.

For the same price that I've paid for much less, I stayed in one of the best hotels and in one of the best rooms ever. Front desk was personable and courteous, asking me about my room and my stay whenever they saw me. The property was clean and spotless, and very conveniently located on Route 9, the road I needed for my meetings in Wappingers Falls.

And the room? I can't say enough. I had what they call a "King Suite" which was laid out like a very small apartment. The door entered into a living area with sofa and chair placed around a 32" flat screen tv & coffee table. To my left was a nicely sized kitchen/eating area. And straight ahead were some nice double doors that entered into a bedroom/bathroom area. There was a 2nd (not flat screen) tv in the bedroom. Perfect for couples who don't go to bed at the same time! The doors also created an extra buffer against sound and light in the hallway which meant I slept very well.

The bathroom was spacious and had all the standard amenities. The shower height was sufficient for someone up to 6 feet tall.

I didn't use the kitchen.

Wireless strength was very good.

To the staff of the Sierra Suites - Nicely Done!

When another trip got cancelled, we decided to plan a quick weekend getaway to the Hudson Valley and were delighted to find the Hotel Sierra. I agree with the other reviewers that this is a great place to stay in the area-we found a very low room rate through their website (note: web rates are even cheaper than AAA discount rates), were upgraded to a one bedroom suite which was new and lovely, and enjoyed the full breakfast. Great location for visiting the Culinary Institute or other local attractions. The whirlpool was closed and the pool seemed murky but those were the only drawbacks.

Stayed here on Saturday, March 28. The place is spotless. The rooms are very clean. We wanted to get out of NYC for the weekend and were very glad to find this place after excellent reviews.

The only downside could be that my window overlooked the Super Wal-Mart parking store and parking lot. However, we needed to do some Wal-Mart shopping, so this 24 Hour store really worked out well for us. If you can get a window on the other side of the hotel, you'll have some nice mountains to look at.

The breakfast was good. Nothing spectacular but very nice to have included in the price. The coffee was Starbucks, which is a really good coffee when compared to other free hotel breakfasts that I've had.

Not a bad think to say about this hotel and will definitely stay here again if I'm ever in this area.
